An "official range" is kinda like where the Vocaloid's voice sounds best on a note scale. For example, perhaps (if IA's range was high in the first place) Jin bought IA, saw her official range, and figured IA would sound fine if he tuned her on her higher end of her range. Those high notes in World Calling and some of IA's Kagerou Project songs are pretty meltdown-like. o.0

Yeah. I'm not sure, but maybe her official voice range started really high? I think its kinda the same for SeeU. She sounds alright high, but she sounds pretty great moderately low. This probably goes for a lot of others, like Gumi, Len, Rin, Kaito (I think). It usually depends on the song, and how well you can tune high voices.
