Wonderful great interview, your questions are right on the money and you allow your guest Iain to answer your questions fully unlike many interviewers, thank you, this is a top draw channel and I love the content.

Thanks to the great stories that open up a bit to us ordinary people about how difficult and complicated the search for rare cars can be today. I would have asked how a classic car that had been out of the road for a long time and was restored again would be officially brought into service again in the UK. Is there a need for any technical inspections by the authorities, ie is a type inspection required, etc. What kind of documents should be found if a rare car arrives? What to check first? It would be great if Iain Tyrrel could be great if he could tell me a little bit about this.

I'll see if we can cover that on a future episode Frank.

Great story. The chap in Barbados reminds me of my erstwhile shipmate Randy Armstrong. Once met never forgotten.

It still amazes me that someone would knowingly keep a Ferrari Dino in a box on a golf course all those years.

The car museum in Barbados is called the Mallalieu collection, in contrast to beaulieu in the UK. But it's amazing that he found a Ferrari here; there are very few classics, and even fewer exotics. He needn't have worried about the spiders though; we don't have any nasty ones

I love the early Dino story , I was very lucky to buy a LHD 1970 GT it had the knock on wheel spinners for 5000 pounds , I believe they are quite rare as they were on the cross over from 206 to the 246 I moved to Canada shipped the car and a few years later sold it to pay off my house the car went to the USA. How I wished I had kept the car.

*Rule number one with treasure project cars is don't tell anyone else otherwise they weasel themselves in onto it* *Rule number 2 is cut them short if they do know or unfortunately have seen or heard about it.starting to talk about it is the weaselers way into leaving you high dry and tears in your eye*
