I think Chun in MVC1 takes a lot of execution too no? Doing those funky jump arcs and the iADs and the stomps is pretty tricky. The guard break setup literally from neutral was just wild.

Yea specific supers. Uncombos can also happen in other circumstances too such as specific normal chains and normal to special cancels. They only work under very specific situations though. If they are executed correctly then it will be a truly unblockable reset (no way to get out of it). One weird thing about them though is that they are actually not guaranteed against CPU opponents. CPU opponents in an arcade playthrough can block them (if the CPU actually decides to block).

MVC1 Chun-Li is the best version of all of the other Chuns in MVC series. I can't believe they nerfed her in MVC2 alongside Ryu, Morrigan, Wolverine and Megaman but Jin got the improvements. That same applies from Storm in MVC2 to being nerfed completely in UMVC3.

Justin I apologise for this long message, but don't be fooled, Mr combo was playing you using cheats, he has programmed scripts that do certain moves and combos for him with perfect inhuman reactions. He also originally had autofire but removed it once fightcade had the af detection update. We found proof of him cheating as people used input trackers on his replays and found him hitting button presses per second that are quite literally impossible, not to mention his scripts that activate in response to stuff the other player does (for example he has a wm script where if he flies and you jump, it will automatically do an lk into infinite with inhuman reactions no matter where you are on the screen or what you do) He is a well known cheater with multiple names, his main one being "zamacona" and he has been exposed multiple times for cheating even now.

Can someone please explain what guard breaks are and how they work in these games? The only guard break I'm familiar with are from the SFAlpha series where there's a guage.

It has to do with the limited actions your character can do in the air. So if you guard an enemy attack while you're in the air, you've used your action. And if the enemy waits just a moment before attacking again, you won't be able to block it. But once you hit the ground, your actions are reset, and you'll be able to block again.

Adding to what Matt said. It is during normal jumps where the number of air actions you can do is limited. Super jumps don't have that restriction. Also, when one of your characters gets KO-ed and the next one comes in, while the next character is coming in they are in the same state as a normal jump where they have limited air actions. This is why the most common guard break setups are against the next character coming in after KO-ing a character.
