My bank is tiny, 5 branches total. It’s customer appreciation week. When I made a deposit, they gave me a salty sweet trail mix treat and asked if I wanted to be in a drawing for a $1,000 gift card. That’s a yes! Now, my electric company is a co-op owned by us, who use the electricity, we own it! We get dividends, and our electricity is wholesale priced because our co-op is not for profit. I live in perfection! Except my sewer is expensive $66 a month, but the water is cheap (but don’t ever drink American tap water, anywhere😬).

25 years ago, my (then) wife and I were on a weekend getaway where we shopped & dined, etc. In one of the shops, we bought an old fashioned ice cream scooper. A YEAR later, we got a recall notice for the scooper due to some defect. The only way they could've known about it was by tracing the credit card transaction. Ever since, I've been careful about what I put on a credit card. If at all possible, I make 'politically sensitive' purchases with cash. Looks like I may start buying meat with cash now too. Btw, you think this was bad, just wait till they implement Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) which will allow your money to be programmed to permit / prohibit certain classes of purchases.

I use my credit card for EVERYTHING and pay it off in full every month through pre-authorized payment . I received reward points and redeemed for $1,000 worth of free groceries last year. If I paid in cash I would have gotten ZERO. The trick is to pay your credit card off in full every month and you will never miss a payment if you do pre-authorized payment at due date. I received a paper copy of my bill in the mail. I love getting things for free .

Go to your local farmers. many of them are free ranging their cattle and minimal or no shots. Ask about what vaccines they give their stock and the serum the calves get up their noses. All of it is bad, really. Also find out if they give them a lot of antibiotics. Small farmers are the best for this, clean organically fed animals for less than the cost of a weekend BBQ going through Wal-mart.

They would give a discount and they required your permission for this intrusion. I control my thermostat and declined their offers.

The objective in discouraging the consumption of fatty meat is to keep us fat, dumb and sick. The brain is made up of cholesterol and works best on ketones, while the entire nervous system is protected by a myelin sheath - i.e. cholesterol; our hormones are made using cholesterol (low testosterone anyone?) So, while metabolic orders and obesity increase, the food and drug companies get richer - our brains are being deprived of essential nutrients, our metabolism is crashing, and our bodies are overweight, arthritic, stiff, with IBS or chronic constipation. Dan, We drove through illinois and had $2 of tolls and somehow they were not deducted from the toll transponder. Mysteriously the money was not on that transponder even though we had not been through illinois in a long time. In the past, we had called the tollway and they claimed that the money that was on there was only used for tolls. So they sent a Second Notice of tolls due, not a First Notice, with fees bringing the total due to $38 or so. We sent a check for $6, instead of the $2, but they returned it with a note that they'd only accept the full amount of $38. They also claimed that if it is not paid in full they would send a Notice of Violation. Greed at its best. We're uncertain what to do.

How does a bank know what you purchase at the grocery store? When you swipe your card, the card company only gets the name of the business, and the amount being charged. It does not receive an itemized list of what was purchased. There must be more to this.

I'm in Houston, all of our electricity is provided by Centerpoint Energy but it's distributed/administered by a variety of different retail electric companies, that's why we have so many. It's "privatized" so we have the illusion of choice, except the retail electric companies all mark up the electricity by various amounts. I also work from home and I swear that they do turn my thermostat up! I have mine set on a schedule and suddenly we'll be all sweating and the temp will be degrees higher than I know it should be. Wish I could but demand is so high that the price is quadruple if you can even get one. I get mine at a butcher shop straight from farms. Cheaper and better quality than grocery stores. Paid about 40 dollars for 2 whole filets then cut to the size requested on sale. Just get what I can afford plus freezer space. Don't want a 3rd freezer😂. I grow a lot of produce of my own and can or dehydrate it. At least I know that's not sprayed and not GMO. Fruit trees any year now. Got blooms last year so hoping fruit on my mini orchard next year. I have my own eggs too. Don't have to refrigerate eggs til washed.

I have a feeling they dont want people eating too much meat protein for two main reasons:(1.) So you're too weak to fight back and resist aggression (2.) There's something about the meat proteins that prevent the "jab" from taking a hold really good. I was reading up on that and the proteins in meat block the impact of the jab. Plant proteins don't keep me full for very long. I eat a PB&J for breakfast to break up the eggs and bacon monotony. I'm usually hungry not an hour or two, after eating the PB&J. I've also noticed that when I eat a meat protein later in the evening, I sleep through the night better. I used to wake up in the middle of the night around 2 or 3 am, because of light hunger pangs. Plus, I don't think you can build good strong muscle on plant proteins. Weak people can't fight or flee well.

There are no essential carbs, but there are essential amino acids and fatty acids. Even vegans have to supplement with at least B12, which has to come from animal sources (but don’t tell them that bcz they’d rather die, and some have), and likely iron which is plentiful in red meat

Look, I’m a believer in nutrition and some supplements, but it doesn’t necessarily guarantee anything. I knew a husband/wife team in SoCal years ago where the husband was a Dr and the wife a therapist. They had a wellness business. They had strict nutritional standards. But the Dr husband died of cancer in his forties. So there are no guarantees with what one eats or supplements.
