I’m not sure if this video shows it, but there was a moment when he was first introduced that a helicopter fly over and showered all the fans with fresh Hawaiian flowers. It was just gorgeous and mesmerizing. Loved the whole thing. The parade was awesome too.

I'm a palagi and I had some Tongan friends when I was younger. They were the kindest, happiest, most beautiful, most humble people I've known. Such an amazing culture with a big emphasis on family. Oh and the food was amazing. When I first saw Iam on American Idol I thought this kid could win it all. I'm so happy for him!
