This means so much to me. I’m 19 from Oahu moved to East coast for college to study music and other things. Currently freshman and things are really different out here was tough getting used to everything out here, like the weather the people the energy. Music was really all I had last semester and didn’t feel the love out here but things are looking a lot better this semester. Peace and love

Something special about Hawaiian musicians...how is it that he can strip it all down to just a simple instrument and vocals and totally capture our hearts and soul. I'm definitely catching an IZ vibe here❣️

@@DaRedeyeJedi808 I Highly agree it ain’t a race its an ethnicity ! But I did not once say it was a race. Polynesian is our race but it also goes way more deeper but I ain’t got time for dat lol. I’m from Hawaii but I’m Samoan !! I ain’t indigenous to this land I’m not KANAKA MAOLI !! Das jus how y’all view us all here living in Hawaii same as New Zealand they can be looked at as all New Zealenders but they ain’t all MĀORI !! He’s most definitely a Pacific Islander but he is not an Native Hawaiian !! He is Tongan and from Kahuku, Hawaii.

Thank YOU for your heartfelt reaction to Iam - I feel his dad shining through and with him. Such a beautiful clear voice and I was impressed with all his KZbin videos - he has a clarity and ability to give his audience the song’s meaning and emotion. I lived many years in Honolulu and saw Brother IZ, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, many many times - Now a Guardian Angel😇. I knew at some time one of Hawaii’s exceptional singers (which there are so many that Locals sometimes take them for granted) would rise to the top in the world as a star now - as IZ has after his transition♥️🙏🏼) Iam is doing it now - truly a beloved star is being born🌟💫💥♥️🌏🌺

I believe we have living angels on this side to help send us over and angels on the other side to receive us in God's Love. You were your dad's earthly angel. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏻

@@dianeouellette3571 I watched him walk on a path. Every so often, something to his right would frighten him. I told him, no worries, keep going towards the good. I asked the hospice doctor about this. He said that they truly were doing just that and it wasn't always a straight path. I asked the nurse about this doctor, as I didn't recognize him. She said there was no doctor... my daughter and I just looked at each other...he was a true angel sent to comfort us. I would frequently fall asleep holding my Dad's hand, wake with him holding mine ❤️🕊️👼 Thanks for listening

It's so sad that he's passed away. With people like him, as long as we continue to play his music, he will live forever. My favorite song he ever played was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from the old movie The Wizard of Oz.

Would love to hear your thoughts on another Polynesian hidden gem from New Zealand by the name Stan Walker. What AMAZING talent. Listen to Ultralight Beam and Amazing Grace. You won’t be disappointed. Little fact not only is he an amazing singer, his stomach was removed 3 years ago because of cancer. They reattached his esophagus directly to his intestines Thank you Jesus Hes cancer free today.
