Hey Guys, I'm so sorry to see some comments about experiencing distorted audio sounds for some of you. I am trying to get to the bottom of this but this seems to be peculiar to certain devices/connections as others aren't experiencing the same thing. I'm working on getting this sorted as soon as possible, so please be patient with me and try switching devices from phone to maybe laptop or Tv to see if anything changes. Love you guys and thanks for your continuous support. If you experiencing this please reply to these questions; 1. What device are you using? 2. Are you watching it on a web browser or via the youtube app? Thank you, Dodos

Adesuwa nailed it with that experience thing. A truth that isn't as popular. You don't have to experience something to know if you want it or not. There are books and people share their experiences for us to learn from. Also, maturity plays into a lot in relationship.

I really enjoyed hearing Adesuwa’s perspective especially with the fact that experience corrupts. I don’t agree that experience is the best teacher. There are some things you don’t have to experience in order to learn a lesson. Learn from other people’s examples.

Exactly! We don’t have to experience it all! Also, people forget that the basis of romantic relationships is friendship. We all have years of experience being friends, sisters, etc. Yes, in romantic relationships the expectations are different but you don’t need years of experience to know what you want in a partner. From my friendships, I can tell I want an honest person, kind, etc

I kind of agree with Adesuwa on the experience thing.. cuz when you are older, everything you want for your life is different. You don’t need to date someone to know what you want because most times when you are young and dating, you still don’t know what you want in a relationship anyways. Everything is just vibes unlike being older.

I agree with what Adesuwa is saying in 18:04!! As you get older, you start learning what you really want. Yes experience is great but it doesn't have to be your own experience. I'm in my semi mid twenties, I've never dated but I am clear on what I want. And when I do date, I know what I am not going to settle for, because of learning (of self, of others, of experiences of different people). I'm not saying I'll get it right immediately or not make mistakes . But why do we rush to date and 'gather all this experience' without first learning who we are and what we want?
@joomer606
@joomer606 2 жыл бұрын
I agree . I am in my late 20s now and I started dating around my mid 20s. I learned a lot about dating and what I wanted from other people's experiences and friendships, so when I started dating I wasn't bringing any baggage (at least not from hurt from relationships ). I don't think dating just for experience is healthy in the long run from what I have seen and heard from others.

I connect with Adesuwa. And I agree with the fact that who you’re meant to be with isn’t one particular person in the whole universe. It could be anyone out of a number of soulmates. I also don’t really find experience very necessary especially as a person who doesn’t really enjoy being in relationships. But on the other hand, it could also be because of the kind of experiences I had and the experience might just be useful in gaining insight to how people could really be and then you’d have an idea of things to watch out for in the next. However, I still don’t think dating really early is necessary. You can still figure out these things when you’re older and mature enough to know what you want.

Podcast hopefully soon. I enjoyed this episode and I can't wait for the next and lowkey hoping it's longer...lol...I love Sheila's liberality and views. I feel like a lot of our values are mostly built around what people will say and how they would perceive us (largely influenced by religion and culture). If we all had the confidence to do anything we want without judgments or fear of offending people, we would be more liberal about life, our thoughts, and our views.

Experience is not always the best teacher. Eve experienced her way out of the garden. The devil won't market the consequences of disobedience. He only markets the experience of the first bite which is usually sweet and then it turns sour or bitter. God made relationships and God made marriage and there are rules. It will serve people well to know the truth cause with all the "liberation" about sex, people are being left with more questions than answers. I have seen wholesome relationships from people that did relationships the way God intends and this is the road I have chosen to follow.

Marriage is supposed to help us understand the love God has for us. It is sacrificial and resilient. In marriage, God wants to love your partner through you and vice versa. This means you must die to self and learn to love from God. This is huge for me. Knowing this, the spiritual understanding of the person I marry must be on point when it comes to marriage. This by nature weeds out a lot of guys and I am fine with that. No anyhow guy can stumble upon my marital path. Cause I know the training I've been receiving aaah😅😅it's not even funny.

Adesuwa is an absolute delight. I had to watch twice just to hear her speak again. I didn't disagree with anything she said. She communicated her answers just as I would have. Adesuwa is the big sister I deserve in my life.

I really love Adesuwa's view and I could not agree less. Adesuwa just earned a follower. However, Sheila is quite expressive and that is admirable. But I feel there should be an organised standpoint where all guest can state their perspectives. At some point it was kinda congested.
