Dr Teals body lotion doesn’t actually lighten your skin..it just promotes your whatever complexion you already have and it doesn’t strip;it contains shea butter which gives a lot of moisture,niacinamide and vitamin c So it’s really not a bad option for a caramel skin tone or any skin tone for that matter.

You are spot on! I did not even have to watch a video when I made a decision to stop buying all brightening products. To me, it just didn’t make sense. I was able to explain to myself that “aside from brightening, what other things do I need?” Your products cannot all be formulated with brightening ingredient and you will see results. If I need hydration, I must include a product that is solely for that. If I need glow, I must add another that can give that. Personally, I made only my face toner have brightening ingredients and stopped using lightening creams. Switched to Nivae perfect radiant and in a month I saw that my hyperpigmentation faded. Also, I discontinued Dr Teals body scrub and bought dove. And now, my dark knuckles are clearing off. So you are right. You cannot use only brightening formulations to achieve clear skin. To crown it all, Dr Palmer’s Cocoa Butter work wonders for me than Vitamin C oil. It just dries out my skin but Palmer lock in my moisture. Just thought to buttress what you have said in case anyone is in doubt of what you said.

I learnt the hard way. Caramel here, we are always dealing with too dark or fair. At age 24. I'm proudly Caramel using my body wash, Stives body cream and body scrub that exfoliates my skin. I scrub once weekly and make use of my dove body wash when on my period. I don't want to stress my skin when my hormones are shredding blood. Yeah, according to the video, add a body oil to that and an exfoliant, if you have dry skin use a sugar scrub, a good one is tea tree vitamin c sugar scrub.
