The ceiling fans have a switch on them, flip it to make them spin clockwise in the winter. Clockwise at minimum rotation speed helps to force the warm air near the ceiling down to people and pets. Counterclockwise at higher speed helps to bring the cool air near the floor up to people.

@@miniman9198 I'm not an HVAC man but I do live in Arkansas and it gets hot and cold here. I'd never live anywhere without ceiling fans, fireplaces, 2 tons of air conditioning per thousand square feet, 100k btu gas furnaces (2 4 ton units with 100k btu gas furnaces here,one per floor)
