I’ve got the same system on a VKAR bison but with a 20T and an anti roll bar, but running the same arrma wheels, the anti roll bar makes makes a world of a difference with the handling and really helps it out down all the power the 6s has to offer! Great build by the way! 👌🏾

I’m going to install this same setup on my typhon. Not sure if I’m going to put it in my typhon 6s v5 or my new TLR tuned typhon. They both are mainly only used for speed runs and on road bashing.

Changing out a 6s system to another 6s system, make it make sense. I thought the goal was to improve. For all this you should have bought the 3s and upgrade. Me personally I'm taking a 6s up to 8s or higher.

Rpm makes an esc cage with a switch mount on it for the monster x. Has a couple options for the orientation as well. I run one on every castle setup I have! RPM73622 is the part number, and they've got one for the mamba x as well RPM73762. Both cost less than $15!

How do you like the gearing your running? I've had a 1515 laying around for a few years now that I'm putting in a outcast 6s I was thinking about 17-21t pinion. Just trying to get ideas on thoughts.

The regular mamba x over the mamba monster x? No I’d stick with the MMX but that motor should be fine

Why did you switch out the Spektrum components? Are you still using the DX5 Rugged with this?

No I ended up selling the dx4. It didn’t provide much more value over the other radio and the receiver didn’t even have gyro even though they are so expensive. The castle system is much smoother in my opinion. Speed didn’t change much though.

@Arrma Army RC new to the hobby, forgive the noobness, but why doesn't the dx3 work with castle esc? And does it only work with spektrum esc's?

I don’t know why he is saying it doesn’t work with a castle esc. A transmitter only communicates with a receiver, not directly to the ESC.

You should mojavifie it! I through on Mojave arms and axles with Kraton stub axles with mx28 and it just gets down so nice! I got a video on my channel of mine, it’s my favorite rc in fleet no doubt

Spektrum electronics are absolutely great. I love them and they are more durable than any other setup I’ve used. Matter of fact, this exact Castle setup in my Typhon is overheating.

What difference does the upgrade add compared to the spektrum original? I have the max and like the Traxxas system but like all guys I like to make it bigger better faster stronger!😂😂👊🏻

Yes that’s the ESC, and you don’t have to upgrade the stock gears. Run it, see how you like it, check the temps (or if it doesn’t shut off due to over temp, then you’re good) and then adjust gears from there.

Arrma d5 pinions do not fit any Castle motors without honing them out with a Dremal.
