And also award a set amount of coins for completing say story mode for the first time. Would also be cool if certain cosmetics were promoted with additional Wumpa coins earned if it is used.

I hope one day they give extra wumpa coins by doing additional stuff, such as: 1.- Tasks like in the Grand Prix, but fully oriented on WC earnings. 2.- Apply the double weekend for Offline races too, so that way, people without Xbox Live, PlayStation Plus or Nintendo Online suscriptions can have a chance of earning better incomes. 3.- During races, taking count of Drifts made, acro-jumps made, no items usage, no hits, perfect exit and maintain the boosts

Yes they need to balance the items in the game. For example in Mario kart the lower you are the better the item is. In CTR you can get Wumpa in first place. I especially hate how long it takes to regenerate when the piranha plant eats you. The rockets people are always spamming.

+NinjaXFiles believe me, you aren't the only one. In one race in Hot Air Skyway, I had a sizeable lead until I got hit by three orbs, then a clock spun me off course, and just as I was recovering I got hit by a missile as everyone sped past me. Orbs and clocks don't even help the people in last because the difference in skill is so vast that they'll never catch up - all it does is ruin the race for the ones out in front.

They should give you a LOT more Wumpa Coins after completing difficult tasks in the game, like getting Platinum Relics, beating Oxide's Ghost and playing on hard difficulty. I think I got the regular amount you get for completing a race after I got a Platinum relic, which is nightmarish to get on some tracks. This would make it more fair for people who can't play online. Or atleast reduce the prices in the pit stop. It seems so weird that you HAVE to play online, if you want a decent amount of coins. Kinda makes playing all the other modes pointless, except for unlocking stuff :/

Here’s the objectives I’m feeling helpless against. 1. Friends. That’s completely personal. It just makes me feel sad because I have no friends who own CTR: Nitro-Fueled. 2. Win Online. Especially on certain tracks, such as Twilight Tour. I’m good, but in this game, there’s almost always gonna be someone better. You know the ones, the ones who are gonna be skyrocketing ahead in first so you should just pull for second? 3. Time Trials, which, again, are personal. After the trauma I went through of having half my data erased by that bug, only to successfully unlock N. Tropy my second time around, I am not touching Time Trials with a 10-Foot Pole. Not sure who or what can convince me otherwise...

Im happy with it being online, didnt play the origninal game so i pretty much sucked, but the game force me to get better, and it feels rewarding started to win some races today, and also close to beat the first Orxide ghost :) Such a good game, i hope for more option for online such as no items, cup's ect. I think I have an idea for getting wumpa coins faster when playling offline, this involves collecting the wumpa fruit on the track used to make power ups more potent and the amount that you have at the end of each race. None or hold 1 or 2 wumpa fruit: Standard offline amount for that track Hold 3 or 4 wumpa fruits: Double the amount Hold 5 or 6 fruits: Triple the amount Hold 7 or 8 fruits: Quadruple the amount Hold 9 or 10 fruits: Multiply standard offline amount by 5 This could benefit those who play offline a lot. What do you think? E.g Electron Avenue Offline 0,1 or 2 fruits: 80 coins 3 or 4 fruits: 160 coins 5 or 6 fruits: 240 coins 7 or 8 fruits: 320 coins 9 or 10 fruits: 400 coins (max)

Lost me at that. What? It's like complaining about not getting paid because you don't work. There's no reason why you would never not use the Trophy Girls in their 15% outfit with the BiS car, since they all play the same as any other racer anyway. You are handicapping your own Nitro intake because you want to change your cosmetic appearance, that's on you. Challenges are also the main method of points, if you don't 'feel like' doing them, you shouldn't be leaving bronze tier.

​@@excalibur493 Being forced into certain cosmetics is annoying, but its not the end of the world. Think of it this way, you look the same as everyone else now, but if you adapt to the norm now, you will have the Tawna skin in 6 months that no one else will have! (Though, it will probably be in the Pit Stop by then, making it available to everyone...) Trying to argue that its too time consuming is pretty weak. Your quick and daily challenges can usually be completed in an hour or less each day. Weeklies are hella easy considering 8/12 can be knocked out in like 20 minutes if you jack in a second controller and beat yourself up for a bit. They are also designed to naturally complete themselves as you knock out dailies (IE Dailies want you to capture the flag 5 times every day for 7 days, one weekly challenge is capture 25 flags. After 5 days of not even trying, you'll have that ticked off).

Premising that i only play offline, to be honest offline wumpa coins changes sound more like a decrease to me, it's a bit frustrating to see so many tracks having theyr numbers sliced down (a quite difficult course like Cortex Castle only gives 50 coins instead of 60 now for example). Talking about Nitro points, for anyone who doesn't play online i have a little tip. Go ti battle mode, choose game with limits, select Lives as play mode with the minimum ammount of lives (3), set only 1 IA and only missles x3 as weapon. If you have 50% gauge bonus from customization like myself you will earn 7 np for match (matches can last 30 seconds or less if you are fast enough to kill or to be killed). Be aware that you will NOT earn any wumpa coins with this method. A good player can gain more or less 800 Nitro points per hour. One more tip, go ti the options and disable the pre-race cutscene, it will spare you a couple of seconds more. One last thing, i recommend Skull Rock to play in, is the best to speed up the process.

I wonder what exactly is ment by ”Earning 5x bonus the first 30 minutes of the day if you race online”. Is it like this: 1. You start racing online the first time of the day and it’s 30 minutes remaining. 2. You finish a race in 3:30,57, and then it’s 26:30,43 remaining to get 5x bonus, and that time won’t continue counting down until you race online again. 3. You finish another race, in 2:41,74, and then it’s 23:49,69 remaining to get 5x bonus, and that time won’t continue counting down until you race online again. 4. And so on, until there’s only 2:10,73 remaining to get 5x bonus, and that time won’t continue counting down until you race online again. 5. And then you finish a race that took longer than 2:10,73, and then you don’t get any 5x bonus for that race. ? (This was the best way I could explain how I think it works)

The shortest tracks aren't necessarily the least to give. Coco Park and Jungle Boogie are the shortest tracks but are on tier 2 and give out more coins than Crash Cove. This is why many channels have recommended grinding wumpa coins on these maps if you are not interested in competing online.

I found that Coco park and Jungle Boogie before the update because they are short tracks that used to give 40 coin and the most coins you can get is 80. Now I only play Tiger Temple since it gives you 41 coins. Good theme and its a lot easier then others because you can smash the bots (even on hard) on that track.

I think WC are in a weird place for me. I think it might be the store prices are extremely unbalanced. Like 2500 for some wheels or a skin but only 1500 for a new character. 4k-5k, bordering 6k for a car. Without getting lots of coins theres zero reason to play and since I have all my challenges done and have to wait til daily ones come around again, that doesn't help either. I guess I'm saying that prices in the store just seem dumb, and you're either earning way too many coins (not complaining there lol) or not enough so I'm essentially de-centivised to play anymore after only 30 mins of play. I'm terrible at explaining how these coins are being handled just sucks all the fun out of the game for me and just turns it into something I feel like I need to do. Luckily I'm used to games where theres a stupid grind. Looking at you Destiny

I think the wumpa coin system is pretty good, especially with how the 30-minute "wumpa time" does not count down while players are in the lobby. The only niggle I have is that it doesn't reward the 4th place racer - I'd have preferred it to reflect how the Cups work and give extra wumpa coins to all of places 1-4.

They could give more coins for certain offline races, like bearing Oxide ghosts. Most times you mess up on the first or 2nd lap and get no coins. Then a half hour later when you beat him... 40 coins. At least they could give the x5 multiplier for the FIRST time you beat the ghost on each track. That's not too crazy.

There’s a bit of a balance that they’re working on but they’ve not quite found it. I get that earning coins is slow even online but here’s the thing. The Pit Stop isn’t designed for you to buy everything within a few weeks or even a month. The addition/evolution of the Pit Stop content and the Grand Prix is what will keep the game alive. So if you just get everything in a few weeks then what is there to come back for? I think my main problem is that after the 30 minutes your earning ability just drops. Even on weekends it drops from 10x to 2x which even then isn’t great. Especially on a weekend if I want to sit down and play some online CTR it’s not just for half an hour and then I’m done. Rather than how it is now, you should get half an hour of 5x then rather than it drop off a cliff it should drop to 3x for a further half hour... at least that way there’s still a chance to grind increased coins

I think the Nitro grind is okay rigth now (more difficult to people that don't play online), the problem here is that people want to unlock all the prizes in one day, when we actually have a month to grind the Nitro, if we grind 5000 nitro per day, you would get all the rewards in 10 days, and then what is next? The Nitro is not the finish point of the event, is the cups so you can get in the 5% (only for online), so in my opinion you don't need to rush a lot with the Nitro, with the daily and a little bit you would be fine, as for wumpa coins, is the same, people want to unlock all the items in the pit first day, grinding coins could be a little bit busy, but the pit is not going to dissapear, even when the event fininsh the unlockables will be there

Same, just a couple hundred off of the Pharaoh Cortex skin. However, I worry that starting boost may not carry through enough. Only new challenges after finishing what Pro and Themed there are are the Quick, Daily, and Weekly, none of which are worth as much. Still, 15K down means only 27K left for the entire rest of the GP, so maybe I'm worrying over nothing? What I wonder is, will I still be in the top 5% at the end? Probably not, but I honestly expected to not be there at all, yet...

ya collecting wumpa and nitro is brutal for people who don't play online. they should really, really give at least a little (2-3x) more in offline for wumpa coins when it's wumpa time (I can't believe I actually wrote that) and give more grand prix challenges that are doable offline as well as online. it's really a pain. it'd be cool if they made items in the Pit Stop available at all times too (if not everything, at the very least all the "standard" items not tied to the Grand Prix). not super into waiting around for the stuff I want to pop up.

They need to dole out more nitro per race. Cause how it is right now it FORCES you to play everyday and usually as a character you dont wanna play as if you want a chance at unlocking everything for that Grand Prix. Another thing is they should reward more coins (maybe a timed multiplayer as well) for offline races. Or a bonus amount for winning cups or beating bosses in adventure mode. Also lower the cost of stuff in the pit stop. It's way too grindy the way everything is right now and is somewhat ruining the game for me.

At the minute I'm cool with what we're receiving Wumpa Coin wise and Nitro Fuel wise. I'm got into the Gold tier in 2 days, so should have no problem finishing that off in the upcoming 20 odd days. I was in the top 5% in both categories but now having 2 full days at work I'm worried I'm going to slip down that pecking order. 😥

Wdym Nitro is going really slow? We're on the 6th July, Grand Prix came on the 2nd July on North America. There's still a couple of weeks to go and I'm already on Gold Tier. It's at a good Pace, imo

The nitro is definitely a bit slow, which is a tad tedious I won’t lie. As for the coins, getting PlayStation plus isn’t very practical atm and I understand that winning online is harder so you’re rewarded more, but I’d still appreciate it if I weren’t rewarded peanuts every time I win a local game
