I was working security at this show. I insisted on working main stage this day or I was going home. Waited years to see/hear this. It was worth it.

It has always amazed me the way the Crowes could wear their influences right on their sleeve without sounding contrived. They’re their own thing, made from some of the best ingredients music ever produced.

Jackie Greene was awesome. Very nice addition to great Rich Robinson. Together they were a great duo.

In a higher plane. Been listening to this song, since the day the album came out (waited on line at Tower Records) and every-time , I feel the love always one through. Reminds me of the best times of my life in Atlanta. Life goes bye so fast, music is like a time machine for going back and remembering. Also, Rich is a guitar god

Amorica and the Tall/ band sessions from that period were so awesome. They were such a fruitful period on the band's creative history. Wiser Time, to me, was an instant classic from the moment I first heard it. The sound of the steel guitar in the intro and overlaying the verses just adds so much emotion and character to the song. It does instantly transform you and take you to some special place. I really like when they play it live and add the extended intro. Also, on the Tall sessions, there is a longer intro than on Amorica. But I have to point out that in an era where people say that the album format is obsolete, Wiser Time is such a perfect example of why the LP is such a vital and amazing format for music expression. To REALLY appreciate Wiser Time you need to listen to the track the preceeds it- Ballad In Urgency. because that song sets up the intro to Wiser Time. If you just listen to the single Wiser Time you miss out on that gorgeous extended intro and the amazing segue between those two songs that 's on the album. If you notice the ending of Ballad Of Urgency is more or less the beginning of Wiser Time, and you would never know that if you didn't listen to both songs.

Saw them several months ago at the Big Springs Jam (rest in peace) in Huntsville Alabama at night. As urgency was coming to an end, Chris stepped back into the shadows. He was barely visible in the darkness just off stage. He had this cool look on his face like all these big rockets here in Rocket City ain't got nothing on us. As he hopped onto the stage as the band shifted into Wiser Time. The song has such a sensual groove,... made me think this song is what hooked Kate Hudson, no doubt. Listen to the studio version and then Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay. Very similar feel.

Yes, that is a Teye, NOT a Zemaitis. www.teye.com/electricgypsy-guitars/ Rich had a number of Teye guitars he used on this tour. Teye was highly inspired by Tony Zemaitis. He also plays Zemaitis guitars.

Speaking as an OG Crowes fan, first strum of Jealous I was hooked so I feel I can say this, Chris Robinson is poison. He simply refuses to let the crowd sing along with all this stutter , off timing, prose slaughtering no-nonsense. Saw the Radio City show, band was tight but I'm done with this egotistical ass clown. He literally had a VANITY MIRROR as the percussion perch!!! If it doesn't say MAGPIE SALUTE don't bother anymore. Those 2 HIGH WATER cds were ABSOLUTELY TOP SHELF RICH ROBINSON. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Just brutal how it all came to a winding stop like this. An abomnination. You know when the band is struggling for inspiration as artists over certain stretches of time like here or from 98-01. They start fiddling with things should never be fucked with, like this classic, completely ruined by some, odd bloated noodling.

Cannot agree - this is a jam session - and like all jam sessions - held together by Bass & drums. This is excellent.
