Cheetah Icel played for the first time! ( Day 13)

We brought ichel the first toy. She had never played before, so it was unclear how she would react. But she really liked it!

You're okay. Look! (Kicks the ball across the enclosure.) Hey, young lady, look! Is someone walking in the snow and distracting you? Ichel starts playing after they leave. 1:30 Sasha: She lay down. Our silly girl is rolling around in the sandbox and doing somersaults. Masha: Is she playing in the sandbox? Sasha: yes, she is! Uh oh. She saw me and stopped playing - went back to pretending... talks in Ichel's voice "I'm a proper adult cat, in fact, I'm a very serious woman!" Ichel goes back to rolling around, and Sasha keeps speaking for her: "Ok, I'm not that serious". You, silliness. You're just a little kitty. She paws the ball so lazily. She is looking at us now, like "Why are you spying on me?" I'm so happy we made a sandbox. Ok, ball, your days are numbered! She's like a moose. I can't! 🤣 Happy Monday, everyone!

Hi Becky, thanks! On top of all that, Ichel is very beautiful, and she's getting more beautiful with a happy environment and good food sauced with lots of love. Her hissing really cracks me up. Like, "Oh, I might as well hiss at these people and their cat toys." She SO does not mean it! We've always had cats. Our current loveys are a boy and a girl, Cassius and Mindy. They came from a no-kill shelter and they are hilarious and opinionated and affectionate and very lovable. Perfect! Lilian purr-person

Странное место.Светлое, просторное и уютное :спи и ешь.Никто не обижает и не муштрует.Не надо скакать по тумбам и через кольца, не громыхает музыка и не светят в глаза прожекторы. Все выглядит подозрительно..... И эти двое все кругами ходят, ласково разговаривают, кормят вкусно и ничего не требуют....Тревожно.Чего то замышляют....Может съесть хотят меня? Да нет, Вон у них кошак бегает поаппетитнее,да и пахнут они хорошо, добротой и чем то ещё.....пока не знаю, но чем -то таким приятным и так хочется подойти поближе,. а маленькая совсем как родная,но на всякий случай не буду торопиться.Понаблюдаю.

Когда я смотрю видео про Ичельку,у меня всегда наворачиваются слезы. С виду такая грязная, а на самом деле такая беззащитная.Так хочется ,чтобы быстрее оттаяло это сердечко,чтобы она поверила,что в её жизни теперь будет все хорошо,что она за все свои страдания вытянула счастливый билетик. Saved? Do you know what the he'll are you talking sbout? This poor cheetah only changed one prison for another. Do you have any knowledge about animal's behaviour? Obviously not, because then you would understand that this animal CANNOT be tamed let alone domesticated. This cheetah was growing in bad environment and is instinctively scared of humans and if cornered she will attack. Otherwise cheetah if handreared are easily tamed, but once growing over that natural limit it is a wild animal. This poor animal only changed very small and dirty prison for bigger, cleaner but still prison. Messi is different case and there they did great job but now only greed for more donations are driving them to obtain this poor cheetah. The only right thing to do would be to send her in Africa to some respectful wildlife sanctuary where she would have truly large area (40 - 60 hectares) of wilderness to move around.

@chetan singh A cheetah that was born into captivity hasn't has the instincts to become a wild animal. She lived in a circus her whole life but at the end was bullied by other cheetah's and thus the circus sought and found a solution. Going from a circus cage to this setup is most likely a serious improvement. Since the was never domesticated but also never wild to begin it there are some adjustments for the little fella. She will get used to it and starts to understand that she's safe now with nobody to bully her, nobody that steal her food and that she doesn't have to do anything to get something in return. She'll warm up to Masha & Sasha and who knows what the result is, maybe eventually she can go on a walk with them on a leash. Yes, she'll probably never un completely free but she never knew that to begin with. Anything from now on (well anything from the day she left the circus) will be an improvement for her. We should be thankful that there are people like the owners of this channel who are willing to take care of those animals, even if they have to live in somewhat captivity. But it beats being bullied by other cheeta's every time. Watch it and you'll see her getting happy in her new place. And who knows, maybe one day in the (far?) future Masha, Sasha, Kira, Messi and Ichel will all be watching tv from the bed together (a bigger bed will be necessary than I guess). :)

Michelle, about the "more toys" part of your comment. Sasha said they have to be careful about what toys they get her. The wild cats mouths open really wide and if she got a toy stuck or it went into her throat, they would need to save her...so..they have to earn her trust and friendship so in an emergency they can handle her without it being traumatic on her and they don't get injured. They just got her, so are researching the right kind of "safe toys" .

That's a fabulous sight! ♥️ Cats seem to love balls the most. And strings 😊 Ichel needs to learn how to play. She was a "working animal" preforming. So she probably didn't have opportunity to play. Play is very important to all creatures. Even fish, in aquariums play. 😊

Congratulations to all of you, you are doing a great job with Ichel. That she is now playing shows that her true spirit is unbroken and she is free to be her true cheetah self. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us! I met my first cheetah in Edmonton Alberta Canada in the 50's. It was brought to our school by a naturalist who wanted to raise money to build a habitat zoo to let people see what lives in the wild in Canada. The cheetah licked my brother's face. The man was given the cheetah by an Indian prince who used them for hunting. He used to exercise the cheetah by driving from his rural place to where the housing started at around 50 miles an hour in his station wagon holding the lead out the window.

Видимо Саша также считает как и Вы, но с такой не социализированной кошки, да ещё и взятой в таком возрасте-хоть жемчугом рассыптесь, - ласкового питомца не получится, сколько бы с ней не сюсюкали.

@@_Elena_K ну не знаю какую Вы тут действенную схему разглядели, животное реагирует на интонацию-сюсюкание, чем они и занимаются, как с мэсси, только с мэсси было проще-поскольку он был приучен с малого возраста на тактильный контакт. А эта зашуганная кошка вряд-ли с радостью примет прикосновение, да ещё и для мэсси-она точно лишний и ненужный раздражитель. Можем поспорить, если хотите. Я уверенна, что взять этого гепарда- глупый шаг.

It really seems like Ichel has a lot of inner pride. She doesn’t want to appear vulnerable. I wonder if that is why she got grief from her circus mates? I know it is anthropomorphizing but I wonder if they share some human social behavior. One on one, Ichel is not a pushover but the bullies at the circus got to her. Here she can have the special attention she deserves.

Animals have the same feelings as humans; they just express them differently. Ichel has probably built up a lot of walls, to be solitary whilst the other animals were mean. She's at the right place; Sasha and Masha will take good care of and built a relationship at her pace. Owning "wild" animals is forbidden where I am, so I'm a bit envious :)
