My house cat used to freak OUT at me taking a tub bath. "DAD! DAD are you crazy--that's WATER you're sitting in! You'll get WET! Dad, please come out before it's too late!" They're hilarious boobahs, big or small. And a great deal more empathetic and concerned for their family members than non-cat-people seem to understand. When I learned that someone close to me had passed away my two cats sat on me TOGETHER for the first and only time for well over an hour. No squabbling, just snuggling Dad. I was kind of still in shock so it's not like I was weeping, just quiet, but somehow they both knew INSTANTLY that something was very wrong and now was not the time for sibling rivalry. We're lucky to have cats to share our lives with.
