Thanks for your reaction to Forestella again! This song was sung in the order from MinGyu, and then WooRim, DooHoon, and HyungHo in the same order of joining the team in the PhantomSinger 2 audition. MinGyu picked WooRim as his duet partner to sing with him. The duet won against the duet of DooHoon & Julian Kim, and They drafted DooHoon as their trio member. HyungHo was the last joined member of the team. They changed their quartet name from Forest to Forestella for welcoming HyungHo as a star (stella means star in Italian). Like a snail, they could be going slow but constant toward their dreaming goal. I hope they'll get reached what they're dreaming of. The snail dreamed to reach the sea. In this song, the sound of seawaves portrays the dreaming place where the snail arrives. I think this song can be HyungHo's song as well. He had been active as a rock vocalist for 10 years (even amateur, he managed to sing in 3 rock bands at a time.) before Phantom Singer 2. He dreamed to sing in front of a big crowd and he won the show which was his last try for giving up music. (He had thought he would be able to quit from music regretlessly like the criticism he would get could make him realize his talent was nothing! lol) He started his career as a professional musician at 30y/o, now he's the vocal director and the composer of Forestella! This snail made the dream come true.

Thank you for your reaction. I don’t think too many reacted to this song covered by Forestella as it was performed only at this event. If you noticed it was a stripped down version with no band or orchestra, only instrument being the piano. The reason this song is beloved as it was explained in the show is that it came out when Korea was going thru some harsh economic period around the IMF. Young people were working hard with seemingly no end in sight . This little snail represented hope for better days, the ocean. It provided comfort to young people going through harsh times. Of course Korea overcame IMF in record time thru hard work!
