Aparna Balamurali is an Indian actor who primarily works in Malayalam films, in addition to Tamil films. She is known for her roles in Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), Sunday Holiday (2017) and Soorarai Pottru (2020). For her performance in the film, Soorarai Pottru, Aparna won the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2021. She has been cast as the Tamil film's heroine in Sarvam Thaala Mayam (2019) starring G. V. Prakash Kumar. Her subsequent films in Malayalam were Mr. & Ms. Rowdy (2019) and Jeem Boom Bhaa (2019). She appeared as Bommi in Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru (2020).
In 2022-2023 she has had several movies releasing. In Sundari gardens she was noticed for her exemplary performance. There were several multi- starrers like Kaapa, Thangam and 2018. Her latest movie is Padmini where she pairs opposite actor Kunchacko Boban.
She is also a trained Dancer and Singer and has done playback singing in Malayalam movies. She is an Architect and hopes to take her work forward in the years ahead.

Dhanya is a good host but she it almost seems like there is nothing more than film personalities ...kerala does not and should not revolve around them alone...there are a lot of others who contribute and it's important that we acknowledge them...I am so over bored by a mamooty and mohanlal and a prithvi ...common we need to go bigger than this ....I am sure these actors are not fishing for such publicity but as anchors you guys need to move on to interview who contribute to society...let's leave the movie and the film personalities in the media room and movie theaters

Looks like an arrogant or business-minded Producer criticized/mocked at her for asking a higher fee. She may not be extremely beautiful or sexy like a Hindi film actress, but the Malayalee audience has accepted her. Any film cannot be single-handedly made successfully by a big-name Hero alone. The most important factors in a film are the story, script and dialogues. Then comes the Director, Hero, Heroine, music director, lyricist etc. Like in any film industry, a new Heroine's career span is around 7-10 years...Heroes manage to pull theirs till 20 years. So the challenge for a Female actor/Heroine to save some money for her future life is even more. The present super star Heroes and some leading men in Malayalam industry have made sufficient wealth to "feed" their next 2 generations. So can't they be generous enough to charge a reasonable fee from any Producer so that he/she can pay good fees to the Heroine, Director, script writer etc and the entire team. The idea/mindset to make a Fortune (millions or billions) to feed the next generations in any family is "dangerous", as that wealth won't be sufficient to last till the second generation...if the children are not made to earn their careers, they will take it easy and spend their parents wealth. And when these same children get married and have kids, they too will take life easy as their parents and spend the entire wealth. This is a true example given by a Singapore billionaire who said his wealthy father taught him this advice in his college days and hence he remains a successful billionaire even now.
