I’ll never forget 16 years ago when a friend mentioned IAMX. I fell in love with the music and since then I always come back to songs like spit it out when I’m struggling (which is most of the time). Also I blame Chris for my eventual love of kink. The only explanation I can think as to why some Marilyn Manson stans compare an indie artist who literally lives by their art like IAMX to the commercial/commodified spectacle of artifice that is MM (as if MM invented the incorporation of industrial elements in music) = fixed star Giedi. IAMX is operatic (Sun-Venus-moon partile exact) and MM (Mercury at tight orb but not as exact to the degree) only recently incorporated piano in his latest album (wonder what inspired that)...all IAMX songs can be arranged in many manners and still have the integrity of a stunning composition in every sense.
