Yes i remember it clearly being the Berenstein bears, because I use to always think that it sounded weird saying it like Stein I uses to say why they spelled it with an e instead of an a and now today when i look at it its actually an a in stain now. I'm like that's not right I rememberd it being stein it was such a popular book and cartoon growing up in the 90s that along side Arthur and the magic school bus. I and a whole lot of other 90s kids know it as stein not stain. Something totally weird is going on in our world for sure.

Mistaking a word or a picture can logically be surmized as something misremembered; but, for a mass of people around the world remembering a well know person's death is something else. I remember Mandela dying and watching the news cast where people were crying and had set up shrines on the street while placing flowers around his picture. Then about a year later I saw him alive and well on T.V.... I was confused but then just chalked it up as me stupidly misremember his death. But then, I found out that I was not the only person who remembered this... wow. I think that this is harder to explain than that childrens book. However, the thoughts of slipping between dimensions is ridiculas but fun to think about.

@@Paul-whiteP23 no, it’s because Monopoly is easily one of the most popular games & it was a pop culture joke put in the movie. One of the few monocle wearers left over from a bygone era, simply because the game was so popular. It’s like how we no longer see men smoking pipes, but not too long ago it was a common thing. So any icon/logo with a pipe smoking man would stand out to people today.

We don't know exactly what happened but we know something happened . The fact that we all have different memories of world events or breaking news coverage shows that some things were changed . 1 hypothesis is that the world actually ended and we are living in an alternate reality that was created . I believe they got most of the events as right as they could but mistakes were made so you began to notice little things .

The Monopoly man one is actually a bit more odd for those of us who remembered Ace Ventura as kid, when Ace finds the monopoly man. A short bald man with a big moustache in a tux AND a monocle. To misremember is one thing, but when other forms of media get it wrong? Hell, I asked my parents to describe the fruit of the loom logo and they listed the fruit laid out and named some of them specifically - including the horn of plenty. I asked out of no where, no prompting whatsoever and they both gave the same description, one that I also remember. The fact there apparently has never been a horn in the logo feels off on a level that is hard to explain. Also as for the bears, I remember SPECIFICALLY in grade 2 where our teacher was going over common mispronunciations, like Lie-berry instead of library. One of those was her highlighting BerenSTEIN bears, because people would mispronounce as BerenSTAIN. That was back in 91... so this shit is kinda weird today.

I think our brain see images as a whole and sometimes, by association, fill the “blanks” with what is missing. Many people that wore top hats and worked in banks or old wore a monocle. Naturally our brain just put a monocle there. If you go to a drs office and see a big colorful aquarium, maybe there were no fish, but just a bubbling water. Its unusual to have an aquarium without fish, so years later, you might remember the aquarium with fish in it.

I had multiple experiences with this ever since I was a kid. Like that one glass light at my place. When I was around 2-3 years old I clearly remember it being hit by a broom by accident and falling down the stairs and shattering. And I overheard my parents saying that it can't be replaced since it was a very old model. After 5 years I moved back into the house and saw it was still intact. When I asked my parents about it they said it was never broken.

So far, I've found three categories of the Mandela Effect that I have come across. The first is connected to some sort of media, news, entertainment... things we saw on television. The second is related to the power of suggestion coupled with poor or virtually nonexistent memories. The Third is related to the oddity of writing or text where we see letters that aren't there to subconsciously complete or confirm an assumption. I don't think I've ever come across an empirical evidence of the Mandela Effect

This is EXACTLY how the term "Mandela effect" was introduced to me. A group of people were talking about this very thing! Someone mentioned how frustrating it is when you go to get something that you KNOW where you left it and it's not there. Then after a long search and finally giving up, it suddenly appears exactly where you thought it should have been. They were discussing that it's swapping back and forth between the realities. But we're told it's our memories. In school, you study hard for the test, but the test questions aren't what you studied, and after pouring over your notes, you decide the teacher is an idiot and move on. But it could totally be swapping realities.

Some years later again in the morning I was listening to radio, I heard that Mandela was released from prison. Naturally I asked my mother "didn't he dye in prison some years ago"? With a very cold look my mother said what are you talking about? I thought my mother was thinking I am stupid and confusing Mandela with someone else. Then I thought to myself, the stupid Iranian government probably didn't understand the news from outside and couldn't translate to Persian correctly about his death some years ago, how I can trust this government. In school I was taught that he had to squeeze into a very small cage and when he was released, he couldn’t stand up. In other words, he became a hunchback. Is there any truth in that? Did I experienced another reality , what is not mine? The mind boggles. 2:38 “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So logically, if I bumped into my school teacher, in a different direction of reality, she’ll deny saying that.

One time I had a very vivid memory of my family going to a zoo in Mexico, I was young and still in a stroller but I was old enough to talk and walk around. I believe I was a toddler at the Time, I went to pet the animals that they Allowed us to pet and one day I asked my mom and dad about that zoo and I also asked my uncle cuz he was there, come to find out it never happened. To this day I have no idea why I remember that but no one else does.

Recently had a conversation with a sibling. His memories of the family across the street and mine are VERY different. The parents had 4 children, 3 adults and a mid life baby. The mid life baby was my best friend and we were inseparable. The parents celebrated a milestone anniversary with a big party. Then one day they had a funeral for their only boy child. He was killed in the military. The sibling remembers that it was a second marriage, it was not the wife's boy. He remembers that he dated one of the girls, who lived in the next neighborhood over, only he would have been 13 when the funeral happened and the daughters were all full adults. Plus, if he had been dating one of the girls, she would have at some point been visiting her dad, if he lived across the street from her boyfriend, but the only time I ever saw the sisters was at the funeral. Two very very different memories.

I'm South African, and frankly there are ppl in RSA who believe that the real Rolihlahla Nelson Mandela died in prison. there are also theories on how he was replaced by the government, hence the break up with the late Mam Winnie Madikizela Mandela (Mother of our nation). May they rest in eternal peace for they fought the biggest fight.

I think the same as you, which explains why “he” (the replacement) became a traitor to “his” (the real Mandela) own cause.

After learning about the Mandela Effect and what it is I suddenly remember having the same story as this. It happened when I was in elementary school and during break me and my friend went to the park to buy ice cream, everything was normal until we came back and studied and blah blah blah AND THENN after school ended I cried because I lost my jacket, thirty kids plus one teacher was wildly looking for it and the jacket was nowhere to be found. When the teacher asked me where I was going today she said maybe I left in the park but I TOTALLY DENIED IT it like wtf I clearly remember that I didn't wear it! and my friends was thinking the same too! Two of us were very serious that I didn't wear it and after a long debate I started to get scared and think maybe I wearing it and forgot? so the teacher decided to go to the park and comeback holding my mf jacket :')

I’m 99.9% sure that cern is responsible or have to do with the Mandela effect. Logically is not possible that millions of people share the same “false” memory but is possible. Most of us remember the robber emoji that never existed. And also there are more emojis that never existed before but millions of people swear to saw them. So is more logical to assume that cern somehow unintentional created a invisible portal to a parallel universe that make us having memories from our other self living in that universe. That also can explain the Deja Vu because not necessarily others parallel universe needs to be in our present but it can also be a few days, weeks, months and years into the future therefore sometimes when we are sleeping we dream what our future self from a parallel universe is experiencing and when the day comes you will be like “huh I swear I dreamed this before”.

As a South African, we didn't suffer from the Mandela effect 😅 I think this is called ignorance. When you know so little about a topic, that your mind makes up alternative facts. Yet there are millions of people that know more about the subject.

Sorry for the multiple comments. But I just got to the point in your video where you said we weren't paying attention. I remember specifically as a child that My sister corrected me on the spelling of the book Berenstein Bears. I was saying stain without thinking about it & my sister corrected me. She pointed out the spelling to me back in the 80's with her daughters book. She specifically showed me the Stein. I was pronouncing it that way ever since. This did happen & I remember it vividly.

infinite realities . I believe that everyone is correct here's why. I believe that in this current reality they are people from other realities in this one. This would explain why so many people aren't effected by the Mandela effect. In my reality I remember Nelson Mandela dying in prison in 1991 not 2013. Also remember the Kennedy's assanination only having four riders in the car not six. and a whole lot of other things that changed in this reality. 🦋🦋🦋🦋

Your mind will connect the dots for you on many, many things. For example... if you do a drawing a hundred time and flip the pages the character is not running but you mind knows that it is suposed to be an image a a thing running so the mind will connect the dot to help you perceive the image as running. Same thing for "perceived volume". The mind does this with everything and all your senses.
