I loved this episode. Not only is it an episode that advocates changes, but it's also kind of a return to form. It feels like a season 1 episode in season 5. It was a blast to see all the transformations again, and I was suprised we got so many characters- the entire class, Gabriel, André, Aeon, Jess, Faye and even Nadia and Manon. I get it, no progression and no big reveals here, and that's what the fans like, but I always thought the Miraculous crew really excel at the simpler episodes. I really liked Bertrand King. He was really great, and while I don't believe his akumatized form is that impressive, I am really surprised with how good his civilian design is. Good job on Keith Silverstein for his voice for Mr. King, too. You hear it's him, but it's definitely different enough from Gabriel. While I think it would have been just as good to release it in order (obv it wasn't because of what kind of episode it is), but I actually think it's quite nice to, after the plot heavy and serious final episodes of s5, to get a lighter episode. It's like a fresh breath of air☺️

I love how they talked about the barriers to climate solutions in this episode. Not only the very blunt depictions of politicians and capitalists, but the everyday person as well. Nadja's scene in particular stuck out to me. Of course she's sympathetic to the cause, and she in the ideal situation she would support the kids outright, but the way she sees it there's nothing she can do. That's so realistic. By leveling with kids about why climate activism hasn't made as much progress as would be ideal, the Miraculous team is giving the future generation the tools they need to understand exactly what is going on so they can act in way that are more likely to be effective. The biggest barrier to change isn't the evil guy in the skyscraper, it's the despotism that systemic issues like this one naturally foster.

With all the drama and angst that the season 5 finale could cause, do you think they'll have issues? Will Adrien realize that Marinette is keeping things from him? Or will they be able to sort it out since their relationship is so healthy? Oh, and will the reveal be sweet and fluffy like the ones in the other timelines or will it be angsty because of these new developments? Ladybug and Cat Noir believe that the King of Plastic is more like king of pollution, but they see an akumatized villain with superpowers similar to that of Ploot/Experiment 505 (Lilo & Stitch franchise). I bet a villain like that would've been a lot worse then the King of Plastic when it comes to pollution.

Am I the one who hates those? Cat Noir always got treated badly in them. I love cute adorable things. But. Abuse one of my favorite characters of any show, cartoon, anime ect. Plenty of people were disappointed with this special in terms of its story, but pollution is something that people should be aware of. It’s a massive issue that will only continue to get worse unless new alternatives are put into place. Even with biodegradable plastics, a massive issue about them is that they are costly to make, they have to be recycled properly to actually be effective, and some still have flaws in production (production produces gases that contribute to global warming). The show is trying to make its audience more aware of this issue which is great, as the more people who realize this is a problem, more people will start to implement better recycling methods and habits and encourage people to get involved in this kind of research.

Goodbye Gabriel, you were many things: an arrogant, a VERY BAD FATHER (at least top 10 in Western animation), useless with and without outside help (Nathalie and Felix), and someone VERY miserable who crawled until he was almost dust (LITERALLY ). Let's remember that Emelie practically begged him before she died to NOT TRY to revive her and to take care of her son (although Gabriel ignored this and even destroyed the videos with her last words, in addition to treating his son HORRIBLE so that he never contradicts him) so much feeling. monster like personally. Yes Gabriel, you are someone unique and above all you will always be ours "Winged cockroach" (For being the miraculous of the butterfly and resisting until the last second based on FOOLISH WILL)

This episode kinda felt like a fever dream trying to convince little gremlins that plastic is bad to the point where they gave a random side character that only got 10 minutes of screen time a redemption arc! Also isn’t hacking into a news broadcast like ILLEGAL or something?
