It's a little unnerving to see so many people here trying to defend Black. Even his main attorney, easily one of the most high profile defense lawyers in Canada, said that Black basically persistently operated under a delusion. Just because the guy is a verbose student of history doesn't magically dispel his long career of believing the world owes him everything and more. And the Paxman interview made him look good mainly because Paxman tried to be as low as possible...

Heavily out of context here but it does look as fake accounts. Even with token typing errors for authenticity. Happens in my home country a lot. Wealthy and politicians with hoards of conjured-up people to defend them.

@rhysepoos
@rhysepoos 7 жыл бұрын
Conrad Black was convicted for 3 counts of fraud and 1 count of obstruction of justice , but the Supreme Court found that the charges given to the jury was 'unconstitutionally vague', and ordered a review of his convictions. It did NOT find him innocent or dismiss the charges. The review of his convictions eventually overturned 2 of the 4 convictions, and he was resentenced to 42 months for one count of fraud and one count of obstruction of justice. Hence his pretence of being acquitted is completely ridiculous.
