Essentially my point is that a society by definition is a group of people working together and supporting one another and hate and discrimination are a cancer that will destroy it from the inside. If we want to solve the problems of British society and those of others around the world we have to abandon hateful, blind points of view which cause divisions. Spreading hate can only be destructive. Secondly, rude and emotive language serves no purpose here. Katie has no real point to make, this is a career move for her. She has built a whole career on tapping into existing prejudices to get readers.

As there has been little vetting of migrants they know they can't count on the government to reasonably assure their day to day physical and emotional safety. This creates unease and distrust.

Katie is a treasure. Hislop has never stopped taking the BBCs money for his tediously unfunny news show that`s been going for over 25 years with no sign of it being canned. He also bulled Paula Yates on his show which didn`t end so well. Got a problem with women unless their successful Highbury gels who write potboilers for loadsamoney. Katie isn one of our own, little Hislop a smarmy prep school sneak, Private Eye is dead in the water-but is well supported by his ilk with BBC funds in effect. Go Katie!
