ABC xyz - isn’t most pop rock indie pretty predictable chord structures and melody’s ? Prob 95% of the groups are ! Going back to most of the Beatles songs bar a handful , proberbly Radiohead are the exception using a lot of 7 th 9 th 11 th chords , modal structures and 10-15 different chords throughout some songs but that don’t make them any better , he s good he s popular and getting better every year. In the opening thirty seconds he is walking past the site of my old school Sacred Heart in Salford. Some great memories from there - like just about everywhere else in and around Manchester city centre it is now flats.
