This biopic of James Bond author Ian Fleming takes place during the last year of his life mainly focusing on his marriage to Anne Rothermere and the writing of the Bond novels with dialogue gleaned from interviews, letters, diaries and the Bond books themselves.

A deeply troubled man who wrote one of the most successful books. He wrote successful Bond series that I enjoy. I feel so bad for his wife. She deserved better.

5:35 As a first time novelist with said debut book soon to be released, I can confirm from personal experience that Fleming's strategy of writing at least 2,000 words a day does help in efficiently producing a novel.

Even though the books were unquestionably pro-imperialist propaganda, Bond was frequently depicted as a man with a troubled conscience. All that killing got to him.
