The UFC is genius. They knew having Covington versus Ian next year makes perfect sense. The best trash talkers in the UFC let them build up that fight for like two months. We don’t want to see those two guys going at it on short notice. I believe Ian and Covington will both win their next upcoming fights. Then the UFC will match them up and winner get gets title shot. Also, even if they both lose, the UFC will still match them up like I said genius marketing. Also, Buckley is a more difficult challenge than Ian. Buckley grapple more than Ian.
