Thank you Phil, great review! Seen Ian Hunter many times. The price on the box set is super expensive in the states right now, I hope it comes down in price. I would love to get at it. As usual greetings from Chicago!

That looks amazing, as you say it's the attention to detail that makes it all worthwhile - just amazing.

Real late to comment, as I just subscribed recently, but anyway, I never thought I'd see anybody review this box, and here it is! Ian is one of my all time favorite artists, seen him live a bunch of times, starting all the way back in '81, and to have this box is a treasure. There's also a really rare Mott box out there called "We've Got a Great Future Behind Us" that I missed on release and now is impossible to find anywhere. If anybody has any leads on that one I'd love to hear about it!

Hi Max, I dithered for a long time and kept trying to convince myself that I had a lot of the contents and should just let it go. I am so pleased I didn't there is plenty to enjoy and the package in on a level with the Wishbone Ash Vintage years set. I can buy a box set for £25 and feel ripped off, I felt this one was still worth it at £260. I am a big Ian Hunter fan. I know Proper Music have a few copies at £250. If you do go for it get it via Proper Music as they package it up really well. I bought one from Amazon originally but it was damaged due to their inferior packaging. Thanks Phil

Hi Kevin, thank you for watching! I'll admit I am still working through it myself. It has made me feel closer to the artist, which might sound odd. The live material is stunning. Phil :)

Wow, Awesome. Ian Hunter, the Stones, and Bryan Ferry are the last of my music Heroes. Ian is getting up there in age. I hope he is healthy and lived another 83 years!! 83 now? I love the live in London version of " The truth, whole truth, nothing but the try" The video of that song was the best version. Now the video is gone. Do you know where I can get a copy?

I like Ian Hunter, if I remember correctly it was the 3rd rock album I bought in early 1980s. The first one I bought is Savoy Brown's "Street Corner Talking", the 2nd is Deep Purple's "Machine Head" and the 3rd is Ian Hunter's "You're Never Alone With A Schizoprenic", great album, 'Wild East' is my favorite, 'Ships' and 'Life After Death' is also good.

Hi Randy, thank you for watching, this is an epic box set! One of my first rock albums was Machine Head as well. I will be separate videos that album and Your Never Alone With a Schizophrenic soon. My fave track is The Outsider. Phil :)

Phil I know you did this video a couple of years ago but I just watched based on your new review of Ian Hunter's most recent release. Great video that has made me go out and purchase this great box set. By the way, in this video I noticed you had some cool looking alien spacecraft in the background. Can you share with me where you got those? Thanks.
