I'm trying to work out what this version is. For instance, what is an 'album visualiser'? The original 1979 album was about 40 minutes and has long been considered one of Ian's best albums before 1998 when he took off with an eight album or so run of superb releases, currently up to 'Defiance Part 2,' with 'Defiance Part 3' in the works. Then in 2009, Chrysalis released a deluxe version, updated in 2016, which ended up with a 2 hour 40 minute runtime, a mix of the original album with additional songs and outtakes. Now here is a one hour 15 minute version, again with additional material and outtakes, including a song I had never heard before which appears to be called 'Alibi.' What gives? I'm not complaining but I am intrigued. We could ask Ian on his website's 'The Horse's Mouth' column, but he'll almost certainly say he hasn't a clue. I would guess that Crysalis are trying to cut down the runtime of the deluxe version while keeping the feel. Still, it got me listening to a version of 'Just Another Night' which has completely different lyrics from the version on the original release which described Ian being arrested in Indianapolis for a breach of the peace when someone ran off with the the $10,000 take from his concert that night. I love to hear the evolution of songs. And if you do, there is always 'Eight Miles from Heaven' that does the same for Mott the Hoople songs.

This SUCKS! What is going on? This ain't the album i bought in 1979. I Will NOT buy the 2024 remaster BECAUSE it is NOT a remaster... It has different stuff all over it. "Bastard" is a different mix or something. Who would buy this ever? PS, the bonus stuff AFTER "The Outsider" is awesome!
