As a former Colby fan, Colby truly lost me when he lied through his teeth first about winning against Edwards, in the post fight interview and on Fox, and then admitting he lost but pushing the broken foot in the first 30 seconds narrative. Whether you thought he won or lost vs Usman, it was razor thin and he gave it his all, winning round 4 after a broken jaw in fight 1. The Edwards fight saw him idle for so damn long before the fight took place and then he was just as idle, hesitant and inactive in the octagon itself, broken foot or not. But yes, I would at least root for him over a fool like Garry.

The truth is, Neil Magny messed up big time, fumbling with his words, saying that he is familiar with "beatings" of his children. Not to mention, every man on Earth has a custody battle with a mean ex girlfriend, because that's how the system is currently setup, and it doesn't matter what Magny did or what he said, the courts were going to side with his ex girlfriend by default. Neil has publicly admitted that it was his own fault that he used the wrong words---that he should have been more thoughtful for what he said about his own children.

Neil Magny is obviously a nice guy, and I like the guy a lot. But I did watch the press conference where he talked about his children, and it wasn't a good look at all. He should have been much more careful. He really messed up, even if it was intended to be a joke. You can't really joke about something so serious.

The UFC did everything to help Ian. Dana went out of his way to confirm his fake sickness in a video last time. They changed his opponent and put him on a card with guys who won’t roast him. In the embedded he trained with Charles and was with his son constantly to make him look likable. They showed Layla on the broadcast several times and the commentary team tried to hype him up in a crazy way. The UFC is doing everything to make a star of him and make him look likable but it didn’t work out. Also the 30-27 scorecards were crazy. I’ve been following Ian since Cage Warriors and really liked him, but he totally lost me. Can’t stand the guy, he became unbearable.

Also feel Neal should have been given that fight, if was not for him it would have been 10 times worse which is bad. Something has to be awarded for pressure when someone is running so much. Fight stats Ian to Neal was 57 of 102 to 80 of 148 in strikes, and 3:45 to 0:12 in control time. take that and Neals trying to fight and bring pressure should be awarded. I would give Neal that fight.

I’m the guy who doesn’t care about non of Ian’s personal stuff or his “personality” he no more annoying than most of this modern society. He played twinkle toes the whole fight. Calling Colby out isn’t even a smart fight logistically. Everything Geoff succeeded at Colby does that all fight.
