Yes! Its the horse that is used to you and the other way around and the horse you trained with. It would be unfair if only for example the french could compete with thear trained with horses.

The horse is given a sash bouquet that goes around there neck they are also given in some competitions I believe in the Olympics to not quite sure though, a ribbon that is displayed on there bridle when they are given awards win or loose the horses are showered with love and treats by there care givers for participating and they get to spend time in the field with there buddies witch I think the horse values a lot more than flimsy ribbon that they do not Evan understand the concept of also many of the famous horses who have won big have gotten books written about them and models made by Breyer of them and some Olympic horses have statues of them.
