I played junior golf tournaments in Florida with his son Luke / I asked to shake his hand and he did it willingly, and was elated to do it. He's such a nice guy with such a nice story. I hope I could follow like this one day...

I went to the Ryder Cup when i was 10 at Medinah with my best friend, my dad, and my friends dad. I will say i’m american so i was rooting for the americans, but i still wanted Ian’s autograph, so as he walked by to go to a tee box, my friend and I asked for his autograph not only did he say yes he let us come onto the tee box while he and Martin Kaymer were Driving, i will always have a tremendous amount of respect for him and have always rooted for him. Anyone who hates him just doesn’t really understand Poulter.

he's a misunderstood character in a sense, and one of the more interesting golfers on the circuit. a true grinder.

I played that event when Ian shot 66 in the first round, it was an East region event called the Panshanger Classic he shot 66 in the second round as well against some very experienced European tour players! Trust me when I say that was impressive......!
@TriousSports6 жыл бұрын
I followed him during the Us open this year, second round, back nine he was in the lead. Watching him play so well, and, well, make an 8 on a hole, gave me a true desire to focus on golf. He seems so focused, and I feel like he was doing well at shutting all the negativity out.

Never particularly warmed to Poulter until he stepped up at The Ryder,never thought I'd see golfers tee it up with the crowd roaring like a football match!! What a man and what a scraper he is!! After watching this I like and respect him even more.

It’s stories like Ian’s that justify teachers and parents alike bullying kids and telling them they will become nothing. It’s better to have haters than a positive reinforcers

Respect the man and the effort. The guy made it happen and was given nothing. Cocky maybe but he backs it up and brutally honest which is missing in pro sports these days!

Because unlike you he is happy in his body and accepts it how it is. He doesn't care what other people think about him In short, he's a grown up man. You are the opposite with your gossiping and childish smileys

Like him in the Ryder Cup. Don't like him getting fans kicked out of events, thought he said he thrived off people saying he can't do things? He seems to blame Marshalls or fans when it doesn't go his way? Don't know about him not being born with a silver spoon? That detached house when he's a kid isn't exactly a council estate?!! Oh and he's a Gooner. He's still class in the Ryder Cup, not someone I'd approach if I saw him.
