Yeah its NOT a soft start whatsoever, LFC had the same games as City and HARDER: Man City have played: Chelsea (shared 3rd place), Liverpool played them too Ipswich (17th), Liverpool played them too WHU (14th) , Liverpool played Man United (13th) same thing basically. And we smashed WHU 5:1 in the League Cup. Brentford (11th), Liverpool played them too Arsenal (shared 3rd), Liverpool played them too Newcastle ( shared 7th) , we played Aston Villa also shared 7th Fulham (7th), we played Forest (shared 3rd) Wolves (19th) , Liverpool played them too Southampton (20th) , Liverpool played Palace (18th place) Bournemouth (12th), Liverpool played them too Brighton (6th) , Liverpool played them too

I sometimes feel that the people claiming Liverpool have had a fixture list are simply not remembering how the standard of football has risen in the Premier League. Ask them their own team's chances against these teams and they'll say things like "it's a tough game, but we should beat them." Yet when it is a rival team like Liverpool, they forget about the first half of that sentence. With the exception of a very few teams at the moment (Southampton, Wolves, Everton, Man Utd) there aren't many games you can look at and say it's a 90%+ chance of winning. Looking at that Arsenal fixture list they claim is easy, I can easily see them drawing or losing in half of them. There are at least four tough games to play and have to win in.

As it is now, Chelsea has equal chance of winning the league as Arsenal. It now depends on how many wins they can get at the end of the season. Only Liverpool stands out in terms of forms and consistency. The narrative that Liverpool had an easy start is lazy journalism and a myth. Those so called easy/smaller teams that we beat have beaten Citeh, Arsenal and Utd to name but a few. You can only beat what's in front of you. Much is made of Citeh and Arsenal's injuries and used as an excuse for their losses. We've had injuries too (Alisson, Jota, Elliott, Chiesa, Robertson etc.) but made light work of it. Give credit to Arne Slot and Liverpool for winning games because we deserve it. Let's not forget that we are a team in transition and still learning under Slot. We will improve and that in itself should send shivers down the spine of our rivals.
