Today Highlights:
The murder toll now stands at 310 which exceeds last year’s murder toll of 300, after a total of eight (8) murders were recorded in the country between Friday and Monday.
A man was shot and killed while his father was wounded by bandits during a home invasion in Carlsen Field earlier on Monday 8th July, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Christopher Christian while the injured victim was identified as his father, 66-year-old Matthew Perez Christan both of Connector Road, Carlsen Field.
The country has recorded its fourth triple murder after Three men were killed and another was left nursing gunshot wounds following a shooting incident in Tobago early on Monday 8th July, 2024.
• The deceased were identified as Anslem Douglas, Gregory Hamlet, and Samuel McKain.
Fire officers discovered the body of a man shot to death while outing a burning structure in Siparia on Saturday 6th July, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Aries Archibald, of Quinam Road, Siparia, who was known to police for firearm-related offenses.
25-year-old Deshawn Cornwall of #104 Main Road, Gonzales Village, Guapo was gunned down near a taxi stand in Point Fortin early on Saturday 6th July, 20224.
26-year-old Brent Carrington aka “Tommy,” of Joropo Extension, Sam Boucaud Road, Santa Cruz was fatally shot along Saddle Road in the vicinity of Bridge Peace Road in Santa Cruz on Friday 5th July, 2024.
39-year-old Keron Modeste-Jack, of North Eastern Settlement, Sangre Grande was stabbed to death during a confrontation at a bar along Oropouche Road in Sangre Grande on Friday 5th July, 2024.
74-year-old Clive Snaggs who was hospitalized after being hit in the head with a brick during a confrontation with another man along Angelina Trace, Morvant on Tuesday 4th June, 2024, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Monday 1st July. 2024.
67-year-old Gerard Dumas of Hillview Gardens, Green Acres, San Fernando was killed following a car accident in San Fernando on Saturday 6th July, 2024.
Two police officers allegedly fired over 100 gunshots in Dorata Street, Laventille on Sunday 7th July, 2024.
47-year-old Okello Joseph of Gerbera Avenue, Coconut Drive, Morvant was shot and wounded while walking to a shop along Gerbera Avenue in Morvant on Saturday 6th July, 2024.
A suspected car thief identified as 32-year-old Tyrese Francis was shot by police after crashing along the highway near Tarouba on Friday 5th July, 2024.
22-year-old Kellon Stephens of Jacob Coat, Pine Settlement, Sangre Grande was shot at by another man known to him in the vicinity of Pie Man Shop on Friday 5th July, 2024.
Three days after Trinibad artist Plumpy's boss was released on $350,000 bail, he was rearrested along with four others after being caught with a quantity of cocaine and marijuana along the highway in Gasparillo on Saturday 6th July, 2024.
Swift action by police officers resulted in the arrest of Four (4) bandits including a 16-year-old boy following an attempted robbery in St. James on Sunday 7th July, 2024.
