I loved d it sparked an idea… there is this trend online that couples do where they paint on separate canvases and then switch after a certain amount of time. They switch as much as they want until the painting is done. What if y’all did that with books! Like you each read a book for a bit of time and then when you switch, your partner start where you left off. It would be so funny

I loved Fairy Tale and feel like I’m one of the few people who think it’s one of King’s best books. It’s extremely imaginative and has great characters. Also, I’m fairly familiar with the Brothers Grimm, HP Lovecraft and Ray Bradbury, which Fairy Tale contains tons of references to. If you’ve read some of them, I think it enhances the reading experience of Fairy Tale.

I just finished this book a few weeks ago. My first Stephen King book ever. I thoroughly enjoyed his prose and loved the characters in this book. Charlie's love for Radar reminds me of how much I loved my first dog and did everything to give her the absolute best life possible. The first half of the book kept me hooked and engaged, but the middle part for me is where it dipped for me. Still a stellar read, and I cannot recommend this enough. Lastly, I love this book cover very much. I'm glad you guys are covering this book.

I liked this book okay enough, but I had some issues with it. Without giving spoilers: 1. King doesn’t know how 17 year olds talk or their interests. Everything about Charlie reads like a 40-50 year old, not a 17 year old. 2. He formatted this book for it was very much introduce issue A, solve issue A. Introduce issue B, solve issue B. It didn’t really feel like there was anything overarching tying the story together.

Aww too bad you didn't like Insomnia. For me...I wouldn't reread it necessarily, but there was an atmosphere that I couldn't shake when I put the book down. It was so deeply unsettling even though I felt like not much was happening on the page, and I think that's why I "liked" it? But I still couldn't really tell you what specifically it was about because it could have been done in half the pages. Anyway, rambling, but yeah I kind of both agree and disagree on Insomnia haha. But I'm glad you're not in the "Stephen King can do no wrong" band. Every author can! lol. Love him but some misses for sure.
