Thanks , I like the matter-of-factish tone in this clip (and the good image quality). No "marketing" and sales-person rap.. / It is amazing how much opportunities for "tweaking" the Mavic Pro/Air/Zoom offers - and it greatly helps to create nice footage (without requiring an extremely controlled thumbs and fingers movement). I use a Mavic Pro Platinum for my channel. Greetings from Switzerland

Thanks Ian just bought a Mavic 2 pro, I had done 3 years on a Parrot Anafi but up here it is constantly windy so the Pro 2 weight is ideal, it`s transmission and battery in comparison to the Anafi are night and day, you fly it with confidence and that is a big statement. The battery and transmission are solid . so you have time at the scene to plan shots, witch is what I am planning to do but to maximise it`s strenghth`s you really have to learn to control it, big drone as well, your reponsibilities as a pilot really sharpen with this as well, This video nails it on the head, that rotate left or right is the killer of all moves if it goes out of control, so them settings are ideal. With the new drone I will go a bit slower just to get used to move where I need to without hesitation, contol the flying is what gets the shot appreciated

Really nice video man, clean and to the point, very easy explanation of a substantial amount of information but without going too far or covering too much in one video. I'm learning the Litchi app at the moment, although my phone location seems to be offset causing the Follow to fail quite dramatically, however, I was wondering out of all the settings you mention in this video, if set in the DJI Go 4 app, which would carry over when using the Litchi app? Thanks, definitely subscribed for future vids (Y)
@IaninLondon5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the good words 👍🏻. I don't use litchi and stick with the Go 4 app. The RTH GPS location is captured by the drone itself, then shown in the map on your phone. Unsure why your phone's location would be off too but you need to sort this or you'll be stuffed if you lose signal. Maybe open maps and click the location symbol before you open the Go 4 app and before you Power up the drone.... Cheers, Ian.
@GhandiManning5 жыл бұрын
@@IaninLondon Thanks I will try that. I want to learn both apps inside out, I've had a few close calls and I want to mitigate against as many things as I can and more importantly, know when NOT to fly. I take it and then don't use it because of this fear, so I'm force training myself now. I've taken more videos this week on just one battery a day than I have done the entire year I've owned it if you exclude the first month haha. Knowledge is power!! (and fishing ponds are not for low batteries). As for the settings, I was thinking of the gimbal sensitivity etc (sorry, forgot the proper terminology) from tonight's test I can confirm the settings are loaded to, and persist on, the Air when transferring to Litchi, but are ignored when using the Waypoints. I guess this makes sense, just like the settings are ignored even with the official app when selecting either Cinematic or Tripod mode. Waypoints is a more precise placement controller that over ules the start/stop of controllers and their sensitivity. Just means I will need to learn more tricks to get the Waypoints to create smoother shots. Thanks (Y)

Ian, what an extremely informative video presentation. I do not have a DJI product and I've been wondering why every video I've seen on KZbin, whether it be DJI or any other drone maker, is the fact that the pans are so jerky. Your video, at least for the DJI drones, can now be adjusted to control the pans instead of taking them into post/video editing programs and slo-mo the start and stop to a pan. KUDO's to you for this video!
@IaninLondon6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Vegas Dude! Slowing down the pan in Post is not great anyway, as you'll get the individual frame shot movements showing up. All drones require a delicate touch when turning! cheers, Ian
