Do they have set limits of people on the bus in London it 30 people on the double deckers 14 on single deckers?

I believe they are in theory but I know I was on a bus a couple of weeks ago and the driver seemed to think t was ram as many people on as possible. I was really uncomfortable about it if I'm honest.

It most parts of country it is now being relaxed a little with capacity increased to about 50% of normal.
