If your district traffic problem is not resolved...if your primary school's don't have proper toilets....if your district is not fully loaded with electricity supply.....if your district is not having sufficient water connections....if many parts of your district are not aware of modern education techniques....basic education...? Do you have answers to these questions... Only judicial and revenue powers are making him powerful then I think we all are still living in 1980's era... 😀 Be practical...IAS is now follow up officer of various departments... I'm a CA student & maine CA choose karne main 2 reasons ye bhi the ki 1. Isme Reservation nahi hai.. 2. Mujhe nokri nahi karni.. IAS to nam ke powers hai sachai sab ko pata h ki politicians hi khelte h asli game to.. Baki mai ye nahi bol raha ki IAS bekar hai IAS one of the best. Par dono apni apni jagh best hai to ladne se achha h apni studies par dhyan do..

Civil Servants are just shamelessly popularised by So Called Coaching Centres like Vikas Divyakirti, Oojha and many more. Once you leave IAS you become Ex-IAS. No one can remove your CA Tag. In many instance an IAS cannot take policy decisions n can have his own will, he even dances at the tunes of some illiterate netas whereas a CA is independent if it issues negative report while auditing a company it could bring even a company down be it any... CA to me seems way more important in bringing the economy up . IAS has knowledge of different fields(unspecific) whereas a CA is god of his field 🙃

CA and IAS both are respectable. A CA can fully utilize its own expertise. A IAS mostly can not use its expertise because he cleares exam after studying General knowledge and get some works related limited training. In general public in India IAS are more respectable but CAs are as worldwide recognition. It is good to say that IAS at student level is a energetic, but exam policy and utilisation of expertise of Public servant is not good in our country. Suppose a Arts background student after studying history/political science become IAS and he is posted in Engineering department, here it would be better to appoint an Engineering background and arts background student in other sector such as public administration etc. Earning comparison shall not hold good .

IAS can become CABINET SECRETARY, but CA can never even become CAG. Points like respect after retirement, money is ok. CA is sleeping well in night Bcoz an District Magistrate/Municipal Commissioner is hustling 24/7 - managing politicians, handling common people, working with other bureaucrats, etc & many more that I don't think need to say. If IAS does good work, Politician ka gaali ! And if no good work, then public ka gaali! IAS kya majjak ya aaram nhi hai. Bas wo ek sankalp hai...Social service, Power to change, add something to the motherland & many more. Look at the course curriculum ias is lot more tougher than ca.. Ca course kachra ho gya hai.. Every year 10k-20k qualify as CA.. U see the competition.. Bt in ias only 100 qualify.. Rather I'd prefer going to an iim rather than ca.. Because these guys give jobs to ca.. Mba from tier 1 colleges get more salary and opportunity any day than ca.. If u r talking about practice.. Then in today's world every ca (freshee) does a job and earns around 70k?
