I love the use of portamento and pitch bends in this song. Very awesome.
@IasosCelestialMusic8 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Almost NO music companies get Portamento "right". As far as I know, ONLY Arp and Yamaha got it right. They use a TEMPORARY foot-switch for Portamento=on. Portamento is on ONLY while pressing down on the foot switch. (The keyboard on the left is an Arp) The 3 "normal" ways portamento is implemented are all ridiculous: 1. On/off switch is ridiculous, because having ALL the notes do portamento sounds terrible. And having NONE of the notes do portamento sounds stiff. 2. Toggle switch for portamento on/off: This is ridiculous for the same reason as #1, plus your brain needs to also "keep track" of whether it's currently on or off. 3. Over-lapping keys on the keyboard triggers portamento. But when one is playing fast and furious on the keyboard, who wants to SLOW DOWN enough to PAY ATTENTION to whether your fingers are over-lapping or not over-lapping the notes? Totally ridiculous. So, as far as I know, ONLY Arp and Yamaha got portamento "right", by implementing a TEMPORARY-ON foot switch. Thanks for your remarks. Love, Iasos

I absolutely love this music. I usually play it repeat for about an hour and just dance ecstatically in my living room😂 It's so fun and you look so happy creating it. Thank Iasos for all you do for us. I was wondering if you have written a autobiography book about your life and personal spiritual experiences?
@IasosVideos3 жыл бұрын
So glad you enjoy this piece. Actually, the entire album - "Bora Bora 2000" - is dedicated to the Spirit of FUN. No, I have not yet written an autobiography. But I'm thinking of writing anecdotes about my experiences with beings from other dimensions - sometime late in my life (no time soon). Love, Iasos

Sir, I love your music, I love the boundless positivity you exhibit as a human being and I love the fact that you're clearly always have some brilliant times. First time I came across you was a documentary that they did about you at the tail end of the 1970s/early 1980s and it was an amazing series of interviews and performances. Thank you, sir.

@IasosCelestialMusic6 жыл бұрын
I love Vangelis' music! He is one of the RARE musicians that really understands chords, scales, & harmony. However I think the "range of emotions" in his music, is quite different than the "range of emotions" in my music.

Is it blues scale ?🙏
@IasosVideos4 жыл бұрын
No. Actually, it's as FAR from the blues scale as you can get. I NEVER EVER EVER use a Blues Scale. Why? Because the general effect of a BLUES scale is to be depressing. (After all, the name says it all: What does it mean to "have the blues"?) I wanted this to be a HAPPY song (opposite end of the spectrum, from depression). So it uses major chords and dominant chords, etc. I have always avoided using a Blues scale - always. Thanks Christophe, for asking. Love, Iasos

@@IasosVideos actually I Thougt blues scale could bé happy. Dépending the way WE use it
@IasosVideos4 жыл бұрын
Christophe, you are RIGHT! But it would be like swimming up-stream. The GENERAL EFFECT of a Blue scale is depressing, but if a musician plays it with happy-enough feelings, he can create a happy effect - DESPITE the depressing tendency of the scale itself. Much LOVE Christophe! Iasos
