I like Lasos.. he's so very Californian (which I like). He's been sampled, copied so much before the whole New Age music scene (rather like Brian Eno). I think he's followed a trajectory or theory that's shaped his music whereas just copying his sound isn't the same at all. You have to own your discoveries, your content. Werner Herzog was saying he has kids writing to him about his films. They seem astonished by his "authenticity". In our world it is what everybody wants but it takes time, effort and commitment. So coming from Britain it frustrates me our government doesn't respect music education in schools and artists are only valued, like the Beatles, when they produce money for the country. Spotify... how could that happen? No musicians were consulted or asked what might work for them. I'm not a musician but stand in solidarity with musicians. You can't create if you are doing some shit job 14 hours a day. Music and politics and the spiritual life... Ah big topics. Love to Lasos
