I'm an HL Psychology student and for the Section B instead of preparing one approach for ERQs only, instead I'm just preparing the HL content for ERQ as we are guaranteed at least one question, is that just as effective/will I be prepared?

EDIT: I've revised this advice based on writing out the flashcards for IB Psychology and seeing what studies you would need. By my count, you would need many more studies for doing just the HL extensions instead of doing one approach + one extension. this is because you still need one study for every topic in the three approaches (for the SAQs). I'll make a video explaining this a bit better.

What does the grade 11 end of year exam typically look like for HL students? Do they attempt all the papers? Someone please clarify. I am talking about school exams not the final IB exam. And how much of the Research Methods section are they supposed to cover to be prepared?

I have a question, can i just study all the extensions and go for the exam? i am HL. i meant if i study extension of three appraches, is it enough? is there chance that zero extension question might appear? Thank you in advance

You could do this approach for the essays, but then remember that you still need to study all topics for all three approaches for SAQs. This is why I don't recommend this approach and instead recommend reviewing all three for SAQs and choose one to prep for essays (+ HL ext).

Is it possible for the IB to ask us a HL question for the biological approach that is specific to the content for section B? For example: to what extent are animal models used to understand pheromones in humans? Or Discuss the use of animal model evolution in humans? Or will it always be a question on the content of it is based on the extension, for example Discuss the use of animal models in understanding the brain and behavior?

The HL extensions are linked to the TOPICs, not the CONTENT. Hope that helps.

Can they ask us about "formation of stereotypes" or will the question be more general? Atm I only have "Steele" as study of stereotypes but it focuses on Stereotype Threats (effect) not the formation of steretotypes

May 2020 should only ask about 'stereotypes' not formation or effect, but this is an element of uncertainty in the exams. I think you're PROBABLY safe with just effects.
