Thank you for all these videos! With how little information the official rubric gives, this series has been crucial for making sure everything that should be included is included

"The Upside of Stress" by Kelly McGonigal does provide evidence that supports the value of self-efficacy in a quantifiable manner. McGonigal's book explores how changing one's mindset about stress can transform stress from a negative experience into a positive one. A significant part of this transformation involves self-efficacy-the belief in one's ability to manage and overcome stress.

I was introduced to the BPS model at a family therapy session for my mum. It was very helpful. There's different variations of it, you'll see on Google - a couple of things that might need adding are "Age" to bio and "Cultural background" to social. Because let me just say in my life and work, those two aspects are definitely factors for everybody and it's interesting but also dangerous when things go awry. And no it's not "ageism" to list that as a factor. Age always has a bearing on things and a context to well being of course - whether we like it or not. And cultural background also presents challenges particularly if for example like in some my life history, you perhaps spend a little too much time with friends who aren't really "friends" from a different cultural background. I'm sure you all understand me there.

I don't know if your gonna respond to this but I'm kind of confused on what questions i have to answer. I take HL psychology and I'm in grade 11 i have the grade 11 exams soon and I know I have to answer 3 SAQ's but I'm confused on the erq's do I have to answer the HL extension question? or can I chose one of the other options, or is their a separate question?

Hi, love your videos, you are really saving me before the exams. Just a small note from a biological perspective - Met homozygotes actually have higher expression of COMT protein. Because of change in one amino acid (valine to methionine) it is much less functional and thus the organism tries to account for this by overexpressing it. But still even though the fact that Mets have more of the protein, its lesser functionality overpowers this and the result is that the overall effectiveness in Mets is lower

what exactly should we include about the study in an SAQ? participants? research method? results? strengths and weaknesses?
@layasrileela14704 ай бұрын
Use APRILS, A - Aim P - Procedure (including participants and method; i.e. true experiment, correlation study, mixed design, field experiment etc) R - Results I - Implications (basically, conclusion of the study you used, so like what did the researchers of that specific experiment concluded) L - Limitations (so the criticisms of the research study) S - Strengths (what did the study do well? like, i.e. "their sample size was large which enhances generalisability") but REMEMBER - for SAQs, you dont need to include the strengths and limitations. So, just use "APRI" for SAQs and "APRILS" for ERQs :)
