Luke thank you for the feedback! I initially used „Pages“, however I then switched to good old „PowerPoint“, as it was very user-friendly and easy to move the pictures and text boxes around. Exporting into pdf format (required for IB submission) was also straightforward! :) x Stefanie

Hi, I have a question! I am doing IB Visual Art HL. For Criterion B: Critical investigation, can I analyze artists that I analyzed in my comparative study?

The teacher that will be grading your PP, probably won't we the same as four your Comparative Study. You can definitely include sections (not copy & paste) - but for your personal journey as an artist, you should try to find other sources of inspiration as well! :)

How did you make the text to take an irregular form? Such as in 15:14. Neverless beatiful process portfolio, liked the aesthetic a lot.

Camilo Gonz this means a lot to me, thank you! It was a good compromise between aesthetic and functionality. For the text I actually spaced each line individually, because it didn’t allow me to adjust it automatically (align it). :-)

Hi! This is wonderful and extremely helpful! I do have a question- what exactly is your font size? and is there a minimum font size? if so, would you happen to know what it is?

Hey - thank you for your feedback :). My font-size actually varies. The titles are size 12/13, while most of the text is size smaller 9-11, depending on the page. This, however, can deduce you marks for the overall presentation and legibility (criterion E). Preferred is a size 11+. I hope this helps - it ultimately is truly individual to your layout and the format of the pages you work on. For more specific questions, you can also reach me via e-mail. x Stefanie

Moquinaa I used „pages“ and „PowerPoint“ to create the screens and later exported them as a pdf, but I can also recommend you „publisher“ as it gives you a lot of freedom regarding a flexible layout of text and picture.

Nhi Nguyen thank you so much for your feedback. Don’t worry. I actually collected all the work throughout the two years and only assembled it in the end. Throughout the course however, I would recommend you to take lots of pictures of your process and just quickly note down your intentions and the thought process (brief). The deadline for the process portfolio isn’t until year 2 :) x Stefanie - & have fun!

Hello! Amazing portfolio and thank you for this video! I am presently making mine and I am not able to fit in many texts and pictures into one slide dude to lack of space. My teacher told me that IB font size limit is 12, so Iam not able to fit in a lot of text. Did you increase the slide size of the ppt?

Thank your for your kind words. Indeed, I had to change my format to "A5 horizontal orientation" to be more flexible with my font. You just need to consider the legibility, layout and structure of your slides - make it comprehensible for your teacher! x :)

Would you recommend typing it out and digitalising it? If so, should I scrap all of it and start from scratch? do you have any advice? much love from straya Mon xx

I simply used my phone together with a ‚Scanner App‘ to get them digitalized, but an actual scanner (if large enough) will also work fine. 👩🏻‍💻 I hope this helps. X Stefanie
