The colors of Hoover USA's model U4219 Concept One are named Cashmere Blue and Blue Shadow. The Power-Surge handle was introduced on this model. The earlier version was equipped with a vinyl bag, and later ones bore a cloth bag. It was the premium mate to the model U3319-900. Production was circa 1986-1990. Congrats on obtaining such a popular and well-designed vintage cleaner! Beyond that I appreciate your acknowledgement of the USA's National Day of Thanksgiving in tongue and tie; along with the honorable mention of our Canadian cousin's on October 10. I'm grateful for your channel along with many others!

What a nice cleaner, I'm glad you chose this one to show off for Thanksgiving, this video was a nice Thanksgiving surprise for me, I'm from the USA and after I ate and spent time with my family I came home and spent some time with Roger by watching this video lol! Also if Roger or anyone can answer this question I'd be grateful, but I'm curious, are there Black Friday sales in the UK like there are in the USA?

Sounds like it could a motor clean up and a new impeller fan. That roaring sound is indicative of a fan that has uneven/chipped blades or a crack that just hasn’t quite exploded yet.

I have the same model, but mine's the later version with the cloth outer bag. I hope to find a vinyl version like yours, they just feel more vintage with those fabric of outer bags.

Happy thanksgiving 🦃. I’ve purchased many vacuums from that seller as his staple is the purple packing paper haha. They are never show room quality but have never been broken luckily. Sorry that customs was rough and broke the bag hook.

Any advice on how to remove the handle? I cannot get mine to come out and trying to ship it. All screws undone but it won't come out.

If you have completely removed the two screws that I show in the video, a bit of pulling and moving from size to side should release the handle, assuming you don’t have a self propelled version.

I know of the model yes, but I don’t have one. It was a burgundy coloured cleaner similar to Sensotronic System 2 and was exclusive to Comet stores.
