Its a shame you don't answer people in the comments. I was looking at this item and wanted reviews. I must say this is the best demo review I found. I am impressed by what I saw however Ill now have to go find somebody that can answer my questions. But one of the questions I had was real time? how long in real time was the stains on the carpet ? the next was sticky residue is there any feeling of sticky residue left behind. Thank you such a great review.

Yes, it was clearly done in real time. Roger says early on that he'll leave the stains to set in a little while he talks about the machine. He answers lots of people but bear in mind this video now has 1.5 million views (as well as his over 1,000 other videos) and answering comments could rapidly turn into a FT job. No, there will not be a sticky residue left behind.

Of course if you pour something right away and try to get it up right away it's going to come on the thing is will it get stains out from Les play year ago or something like this video demonstrates how to get stains out butt not like stains that were in like a carpet for a year ago like you just poured something and extracted few minutes later like how do we know if this machine really works that well
@ibaisaic
@ibaisaic 5 жыл бұрын
The whole point of this machine and machines like it, is you have it for accidental spillages, not stains that you have allowed to set in for weeks or months. With the correct pre treatment, this cleaner will remove a lot of older stains, but it is not a miracle worker. I have used this cleaner and similar to remove old stains that were not noticed when they happened, including dog urine.

I had the Bissell green machine spot cleaner which appears to be the same device except for colours used and a slight difference in shape. It worked well for a while then it started leaking and would actually stain the carpet it was placed on. It might've been due to using non-Bissell shampoo deteriorating the seals but it was a disappointing purchase.

. I HATE assembling the thing. For me it is NOT click click click and everything is ready to start or empty. The bloody thing tips over with a small jerk. The plastic end over the brush. Forget it I hate, hate, hate it! Plugged it in and nothing. A dud. May God have mercy on your souls. I send you the heat of a thousand white suns. Twisting off the bottom. Cool if you have strong hands. What a mess TRYING to open the darn thing. It doesn't just come off and you can imagine what mess a person would make finally pulling it off the huge spill. HATE it.

ibaisaic Aww...appreciated you let me know and I definitely trust your judgement there. It was a very nice demo review...love your accent and the Oopsy Daisy just made it all worthwhile watching it....LOL...I did get a Bissell carpet cleaner but the large upright one...my husband will be the one using it...so it was “my gift” to him...LOL...I have spinal issues and just had my third spinal surgery in late May. I couldn’t possibly handled any of these nice vac props...not even this light weight spot clean... it requires bending the back...I think most everything requires bending our backs...lol...Thanks so much for adding and clarifying the tank capacity there...I was like “Wow...that’s hardly any water...” lol... but you’re right...this is a SPOT CLEANER!! Cheers...and please, keep up with the Oopsy Daisy’s... 😆😊👍👍👍🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I just ordered one of these, I thought that the waste tank would hold more though, makes me wonder whether they limit the size to prevent the device from being operated for too long? What percentage of the cleaning solution gets sucked back out of the carpet?
@ibaisaic
@ibaisaic 3 жыл бұрын
The tank is small because this is a spot cleaner designed for quick clean ups and accidental spillages. If you need something to clean larger areas, then you are better off with a full sized machine with larger tanks. The compact size of cleaners like this makes them easy to store and use in the car or on carpeted stairs. I don’t think the size of the tanks has any connection with the length of time the machine is used as you can keep emptying the dirty water and refilling the solution. The motor will probably last a lot longer than the hose which is prone to splitting in this and other Bissell Spot cleaners I have owned.
@rsporsche
@rsporsche 3 жыл бұрын
@@ibaisaic It looks like the waste container only holds a fraction of the cleaner that you put into the other container though? I thought the two containers would hold the same volume.

Couple of issues. If your carpet was scotch guarded as mine was, it makes a huge difference. When I first moved into an apartment with a new, very light colored carpet, within 2 days I spilled what must have been a quart of Clorox. Shudder. Nothing changed in the carpet. Wow and wow. Because my hands are not particularly strong, the bottom to empty the dirty water is a very messy pain. I know pressure cookers were and are like that, but I'd rather it not be like this. I'd rather a latch.

We had the pet version of this. Big design flaw, the hose goes through a ninety degree kink to rest in its storage cradle. Over the course of eleven months this strain causes it to split. Bissel claim it's my fault and demanded I purchase a replacement hose from their website. Said hose is out of stock and no longer available. One assumes as so many people have had to replace them. Bissel plain refused to help. After a bit of a battle I got a credit refund from the retailer.

Hello - I have this but the clean water + solution just stays in the clean tank, so I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong. Do you hold the trigger just to release the liquid to spot clean, or do you hold the trigger while you are suctioning up as well?

I've been a commercial cleaner for many years. The main tech info I need is the motor size which the company ads don't supply either. The sound of the motor and the close up of the suction in this vid is the only spec I have to go on for the suction strength of the machine, obviously the lower the wattage the weaker the suck the cheaper the price the storter the life. What I saw and heard convince me this thing is passable until it wears. But, as usual, it comes down to how the operator handles/treats the product that will determine its lifespan. The after clean is the most important aspect: do it thoroughly! each and every time.

I think that when he moved it, it caused the float to move up like it does when it's full. I've got a couple that have the same kind of set up and if you move it harshly (causing to water in the dirty tank to slosh around) it'll cause the float to rise and act like the recovery tank is full. When that happens, I power off the unit, wait a couple seconds and turn it back on. You can tell that's what sounds like happened to him at around the 9:57 time mark, where you hear a knock and then the unit changes sounds. So my guess is he picked it up, moved it and sat it down to rough and caused the water to slosh moving the float. As with the ones I have, it fills the recovery tank about 1/2 way before it says/sounds like it's full.

The Pro has a more powerful motor and a larger capacity and I would recommend it over the version in the video especially if you can find it on offer. The length of time it takes a carpet to dry depends on how much you wet it and what the carpet is made of. Man made carpets tend to dry faster than wool or wool mix carpets.

You only need a tank that holds 1/4 of the liquid, because the vacuum isn't strong enough to suckup the other 3/4 of the liquid. The suction is so weak, it just leaves the rest of the liquid on whatever surface you were unfortunate enough to spray down.

Great Review..the newer ones have a more heavy duty brush for bigger and deeper stains...you can't hold it up over the stain to spray the water, or the water will spray everywhere...it needs to be down into the carpet, and to take the cover off requires a flat head screwdriver wedged slightly between the top of the cover and the hose area...where it dips...lift up and it will pop right off etc...to clean the cleaning head

Has your hose split then. Mine did too, but in the UK you can't buy replacement hoses so I had to trash it.
@seriouslynow22
@seriouslynow22 6 жыл бұрын
@@ibaisaic No, my hose never split. I broke the end in which you insert the brush during a time when my fingers weren't working well. I just threw my hose in the trash today. I purchased a replacement hose on ebay for just 16.50 shipped in the US. It arrived today; fits and functions fine. I had started to throw my unit in the trash but decided instead to see what might be on ebay. This broken unit had been sitting in a closet for over two years. I wonder what it would have cost me to send a hose to you in the UK.

The design of the waste container should hold a lot more waste therefore, time consuming on a job especially if you're cleaning a car.

Thanks for this review. I just bought the pet version of this spot cleaner and the user manual was rather uninformative. I do still have a question, though: Do your tanks "snap" or "pop" in? They make this big deal about them being snug in the machine, but they just feel like they sit there; a good jostle and they fall out. Am I not inserting them right? Or do they really just sit there?
@ibaisaic
@ibaisaic 7 жыл бұрын
They don't snap in, but they do feel secure when on the machine and I have never had either tank fall out.

My goodness 😨😨😨.those stains are gone😱😱😱.this machine works like magic, unbelievable 😵😵. Definitely 1 more thing that I will need to have in my house to pair up with the Bissell crosswave. I can't wait to get my hands on this item. Thank you very much for sharing this video. This video shows that this machine gives a much better results than what the Laundry shop for carpet can give. If I can have this machine,my carpet will be spotless and I can still save the money😂😂 that would otherwise go to the laundry shop. I do wonder how much it costs coz u didn't mention it in this video. PS: will this work on clothing with stains too?
@ibaisaic
@ibaisaic 6 жыл бұрын
I don't mention prices because they differ from country to country and the price can fluctuate from time to time. You could try the machine on clothes, but it is not really designed for that.

ibaisaic thank you very much for the info. Since u r doing testings on machines like this,may I suggest that you also do product testing on machines that can be used to clean stains on clothes? I'd love to see if there's any machines available for purchase that can do stain removal for normal laundry use. PS: what product do you think is best for cleaning tiled floor since my house floor is entirely covered with ceramic tiles?

Such a good demonstration with clear and concise instructions. I originally wanted to know about filling to the fill lines, which were different from other demonstrations, than on my tank. This, however, is exactly the same. Thank you for making it so clear.

It comes down to using the proper chemistry when a pretreatment is applied organic vs petroleum based. For the price it doesn't look bad. I use a mytee 8070 ii with a shear dry and upholstery too.

It may remove the stain using Bissell's OXY formula, but I don't know for sure as I have never spilt turmeric on a carpet.

Hi Roger.. Did you know in the USA, Bissell offers this spot clean in a totally cordless lithium ion battery version. I'd love to know how they compare side by side, but I'd guess the corded would work better. Either way, impressive video! Thank you again Roger!
@ibaisaic
@ibaisaic 8 жыл бұрын
Yes I've seen the cordless version demonstrated, bit we don't have it in the UK at the moment. I think I prefer the corded version as you have to ensure that the battery is always charged in the cordless one or you could find that when you go to clean up a spill, the cleaner won't work.
