Very nice Sebo. Honestly I prefer the older model Sebos/windsors because the design of the bag cover is better, with the new models with wear and age the bag covers don’t stay on very well

I had the misfortune of using one of the newer models, some five years ago. It had a footswitch which I could only operate by standing at 90 degrees to the cleaner and kicking it with my foot. I could also not fathom out the height control for love nor money - I have long forgotten how it worked, but it didn't simply dial up from 1 to 4 for example, rather I think it had to be kept turning round and round until it felt like the cleaner was touching the carpet.

A great machine at a bargain price. We suspect this NOS machine has been in this box for about ten years. We have seen the symptoms shown by your brushroll on some machines that have been stored for a long time unused. We think the brushroll bearings stiffen up and they need a good run at high speed to get warmed up and moving freely at full speed again. If the detected brushroll speed is too low the protection system will activate. We feel this machine had a perfect storm of circumstances causing the problems. Stiff bearings from long term unused storage, new long & stiff bristles on the brushroll, a difficult flooring with a long & tight pile. We are confident that if the machine is run in for 15 minutes on some short pile carpet it will loosen up and the stalling problems will resolve.

Roger, I remember when you got your new carpet, you wasn't sure if it was the carpet you had ordered because it seemed so deep. Did you ever look into that by any chance?

are you sure its a single motor as the brush electronics cur the brush motor out! x5 definably a double motor!

Yes it is a single motor, as is the X5.
