Electrolux 305 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner Unboxing & First Look

One of my all time favourite Electrolux’s and it’s successor the z312 as well . The 305 was launched in late 1974 till 1979 Electrolux described the colour scheme as white mist and tangerine. The one you have there is a later run as it has the crush proof hose the earlier ones had the pattern woven hose . The filter stays clean in the middle as that bit is a plastic mould to let the air circulate around the whole filter . It was described as the mid upper range and ran alongside the z87 budget z302 the 305 and top of the range z345 , still looks a great machine 😎

Great info, thanks. I wish more collectors would state those details in their video descriptions. I have a question ... were the Z87 and Z302 both budget models? In the US we have only had three trim levels since 1994 (including Aerus). There had been two levels prior to that since 1952 (although a short-lived second model had been produced from late 1941 until early 1942 when the plant was retooled for WWII production.

Sorry just saw your comment . Yes the 87 was a budget whilst the 302 was called the lower mid range . 305 was upper mid range and the deluxe at the time was the z345

That sure is a groovy-looking model Z 305 ('groovy' being a popular '70s descriptor in the US)! According to the '7 01' serial number, it was manufactured the first week of 1977.

The reason the filter centre stayed clean was it was actually a silk sort of rubberized material that was used to defuse the sound out the sides of the filter
