HAPPY CHRISTMAS from Illinois, USA!I LOVE looking at nostalgia! My grandma had an Electrolux canister, it was nice. My 4 year old grandson and I watch your channel all the time, he has a passion for vacuums and I must say, because of him I see them differently now 😊 Hope you have a beautiful Christmas and happy new year!! ❤❤❤❤

This nostalgia brochure of Hoover was before my time it's older than me only thing I could remember my grandma had 2 old uprights vacuum cleaners the Hoover junior and The Hoover senior 652 but I didn't know that Hoover made fireplaces I thought British gas always always done fireplace like electric and gas fires but when my grandparents where around that decade they always had coal fires because my grandad worked in the pit all his life

My Nan had a 3021 spin dryer that my mum inherited. I wish she still had it as when she decided to upgrade it was still working well. it must have been at least 30 years old back then.

Lots to unpack here. The picture shown at 14.00 showing the 3236H auto washer dates this booket to at least 1970 although still showing the wide body Keymatic - I noted previously that there was over lap between the two ranges. It was also the last gasp of the Cylinder 417G cleaner which would soon be replaced by the 427 so certainly not later than 1971. I must admit I was not aware the 419 had been supplied with a flip over nozzle, I thought that came only with the 429 which replaced it. Some Hoover stock pictures have been used as the kitchen shown at 15.20 shows a Constellation in Jade Green with the "classic" Hoover carpet/floor nozzle (with modified connector) in the bottom of the cupboard. As seen earlier in the video, the Constallation would have had the flip over nozzle and would have been blue. Likewise with the Conquest which is shown with the earlier flipover and turbo brush which would have been dropped shortly after this brochure along with the brush that fits on the crevice nozzle. I first saw this exact style of flip over used in a Scandinavian advertisment for Philips cleaners. The gas fire is definately a "What were they thinking" moment, not the first or last time Hoover would get marketing wrong. The dishwashers were made by Zanussi (marketed as Rex in Italy) as were the refrigeration products - Zanussi supplied all Hoover refrigeration from the introduction in around 1965 till dropped in around 1985. The dishwasher was unusual, not only for round baskets but they rotated whilst in use. The kettles and mixer were badged Hoover, the more substantial Automix and Hoover Cooker now dropped. Interesting they dont show the a Hoover tumble dryer although again they were at a transition point between the wide body (manufactured by English Electric) and the Matchbox style which they manufactured themselves. Interesting watch here, I enjoyed seeing it.

01:55 the history lecture stopped at 1968 as well, so it cant be too long after that date.
