Also got this bass as my first six-string and completely agree with you. There's something about it that's just fun to play.

Hi Ben, I really appreciate your excellent, straightforward review of this new Ibanez. Super helpful, because like you, I’ve never owned a 6 string before, but thanks to your review I think I’ll dive in with this one. 😊 IMHO Ibanez delivers quality for the money better than any other bass maker out there (also own the SR 5000 oil and the SRF 505 Portamento.). Also aesthetically, what a gorgeous bass, rivaling bespoke builds in the $5000 range and upwards. Long Live the Ibanez Bass Workshop! Thanks again- Subscribed!

PS. It’s about a week or so later, and I bought one. It is astoundingly good! Especially at this modest price point. Loving it SO much and having a blast playing 6 string. Thanks again for your review which really helped inform my buying decision. Best wishes from New York City.

I have never had any issues with the locking jack the dingwall uses the same locking jack as ibanez

Looks great! I'm curious about whether or not there is any neck dive? I know it's a problem with some other 6 strings.

Can i ask how did you make it passive, as far as i checked its an active only bass, right?
@bensmujАй бұрын
there's a notch when you turn each knob. As long as you stay under that threshold , it stays passive

Great playing! Beautiful bass. How do you find the neck size? My Ibanez 6 string is way too wide for me to play quick and comfortably
@bensmuj Жыл бұрын
I would say my hands are relatively small, but I don't find it too difficult to play. I can't really compare it to anything else right now, since it's my first 6 string!

@bensmuj how about the ibanez did you keep it is it a good buy or should I look for a different 6 string. Sorry and thank you
@bensmujАй бұрын
@@BWenk-rr2tq it's still my go-to bass. It is a bit niche with the singlecut. There is a chance that you might just as well be well off with a cheaper BTB 6 string. But it's definitely still a lot of bass for the money. If you can afford it, I'd say go for it.

Hey, if bullying is your way of coping, then good for you, I guess. 🤷♂

@@bensmuj calling someone a whale is in fact bullying is it not? No bulling here, I made a factual statement. “Big words for a guy posting praise music” which he does. So let me explain in case you missed the point = I would expect better from a religious person to be more kind and not make fun of others based on things such as appearance. One would think a person in that world would want to lift people up. So I called him out on it. We call that sticking up to bullies.
