Great sounding bass, great playing, cool video. I think the fretless vibe people are identifying is a combination of three things: Treble roll-off on the preamp to tame the Nordstrand Big Split clank, reverb to smear the notes together just a bit, and very smooth legato playing. It sounds awesome to me.

Kinda funny they used the 4 string in the close ups. Looks incredible though, I might have found my next bass.
@megaluisdeth4 жыл бұрын
Wow this person really made it sound clean and flat, most videos are more of a percussive sound. I don't know which one to get the EBH 1505 or the 1005. Also what's up with the big black block between the pick ups? I'm looking for a Jaco, Cynic tone. Any input would be appreciated. I hope they release a fretless version too.
@cameronjohnson91324 жыл бұрын
The block is called a "ramp"- It's just a little wooden block that mimics the height of a pickup. A lot of players utilize them like they would when they have their fingers floating over a pickup (it stops your right hand fingers from digging in too deep as you pluck/strum so in theory, it increases speed).

I'm not sure this is bass playing and I'm not sure if I'm hearing the bass as is because it sounds like a fretless. However, I like it and it's clever.

I would like to know why everytime I see this bass listed somewhere, the name Workshop is missing. There are 2 or 3 Workshop basses by Ibanez.

Maybe that one might not be a Workshop. That one looks a bit different in the pickups.

Ibanez vs Kiesel...let the headless bass wars begin
@Karambwann4 жыл бұрын
Kiesel has 0 commercial presence in Europe or Asia, no major appeal to ordering across the pond, Ibanez set up distribution everywhere. Maybe a bass war for the American headless Market but certainly not Europe/asia.
