Seriously, it's a beautiful guitar, but I'm still not sold on 8-strings, I don't like the floppy bass tone, I would rather have a 7-string in Drop A any day.

This guitar felt so good. The Neck is a little thicker than my 2228's neck but it's still super comfy.

Prestige necks are different than Indonesian made guitars. I have a rgd2127fx and a rgd71al and the prestige is way thinner, but the prestige also has titanium rods in the neck. Also the prestige’s are the only ones that have the maple wenge necks, that is a maple walnut. I mean there are random non prestige’s that have wenge but not the current builds

No, because after so many fanned fret designs, they still dont know how to remove the useless fretboard notch behind the nut on the headstock. It drives me nuts.

What strings are you using? I can't find any that fit the post on the low E string. IMO, this is one of the worst 8 strings I've bought. Great to play, awful QC and build quality

Sorry your guitar has issues. Either take it back if it's brand new, since it should have warranty, or watch one of my videos on setups/maintenance. I think I was using a long taper Ernie Ball 80 gauge string on this guitar.

the Legator N8FOD Ninja is ever so slightly better, including a mahogany neck and fretboard.

I don't think it has a mahogany fretboard, but it seems like a cool guitar. I think the Ibanez is spec'd better than the legator in my opinion.

I was actually impressed that it didn't have much damage at all. I just wasn't a fan of some of the design choices from factory like the multiple hardware colours, and the nut design.
