Short answer: Yes Ibanez guitars generally have some of the thinnest necks you can get, and the EGEN18 is actually thinner than their standard neck, the Wizard. It's 18mm at the 1st fret, and 20mm at the 12th, so while it may take a bit to get use to after starting with the Studio, if you want something that thin, it's probably the closest thing to perfect for you.

Larry Tate The rg655 has an even thinner neck. 17mm at 1st fret and 19mm at the 12th. I believe the entire rg and s prestige line has the thinnest necks ibanez make while the signature guitars and premium line have a slightly thicker neck.

I was the exact same dude even with the asking my parents to help me get it. I too have my own job and house but I still haven’t been able to buy this for some reason 😩😩😩 so many times I could’ve finally gotten this thing but always seem to not have enough left over to actually make the purchase. One day I will own this guitar and fulfil my dream just as you did.

This guitar ruined other guitars for me. I didn't expect it to be so much better than everything else out there. I was just a DragonForce fan and also thought everything about the guitar was great. But it is absolute god-tier levels of quality build and play. Luckily I got it around the time it first came out, before it (and everything else) went up in price.

kyatzz I know but there is a ton variety of Ibanez guitars out there with the edge trem and hardware very similiar. Its just a matter of getting the Herman custom pickups which are tonal god like, i personally would like them on my RG3120F but my Ibanez dimarzio's are good enough for me.
