Excellent comparison, my friend, - watched with a big pleasure !!❤🎸🔥

Thank you! I'm glad it was interesting

Both guitars look so good. I'd have to go for the RGA simply because my main guitar is like that, but I'd like to try the flat shape too at some point
@HighZАй бұрын
The RGA is a great option. Many people love flat topped guitars. But it can be tricky switching between body shapes if you're not used to them!

Ive always wanted to buy an RGA. Never had the chance cuz in my country, the official distributor of Ibanez has been out of stock on RGAs for years now.
@HighZАй бұрын
Hopefully they'll get one in stock for you soon!

I much prefer the RGA. It makes the guitar feel smaller overall and the rear scoop is nice. I also prefer my arch top Jackson soloists vs the regular flat top. I almost feel like the flat tops are less refined and more bulky feeling.

I'd have to agree, I love how the rga body feels!

I own an RGA and tried a few RGs. RGA do have 2 drawbacks, because of arch the lower contour is slimmer, which make it a bit less comfy for long playtime (I have guitar of same weight but thicker body and I can sit with it far longer). Also RGA body has more wood removed, which is lighter, and, in my scenario causes slight neck dive. Overall, I'm very happy with my budget RGA and it made me an Ibanez fan

Glad you like your RGA! I noticed with my less expensive S that it's also neck heavy too. I used to have a "premium" s and the balance was fine, but it also had the weight of the trem system in it

@@HighZ I'm using stamdart line RGA. And to be honest, it's good, very good for the money
@HighZАй бұрын
I believe it! I almost bought a standard rga in 2020 but they solve out before I could place the order from the shopping cart menu. Ended up getting an S instead then the rg5320 a year later

@@HighZ I've got the last one in my country at that moment. Thinking about getting a stanndart line 8 RG string in near future. In the end Ibanez do have great playability and their stock pickups are decent
@HighZАй бұрын
Agreed! Can't wait to see what you do with the 8 string if you decide to get one

RGA is so much more comfortable and sleek compared to RG. Its almost like playing an S series. Unfortunately for the RGA series, it hasnt taken off with the Ibanez fans. I reeally do hope Ibanez bring out some nice RGAs in the coming years. (The Teemu signature is an RGA... Expected to release around March 2025)

It is pretty surprising that the RGA isn't more popular given how fantastic it feels to play. Hopefully that'll change soon so we can get some amazing prestige models before prestige prices get too high

Im surprised how many prefer the RGA. The sharp edges on an archtop always bother my arm after a bit. When I play my Dinky archtop I have to use an arm band as padding.
@HighZАй бұрын
I'm surprised too at how good the RGA feels. Maybe the gradual arch thay doesn't level off like the edges of a les paul or even my solar ac fit my particular body and arms. Those other two I mentioned do cut into me

@@HighZ I'm going to try an RGA. They look and sound amazing thanks for the reviews.

Rga body shape is much better.Recently i bought a Rg Prestige 1570 and i still havent got use to the body or neck.Try out the Esp MH models they feel so comfortable especially the Esp ltd Mh-327 or the 350.
@HighZАй бұрын
The RG does have a very basic shape. Definitely a fan of the arch tops

@@HighZ Bro I even feel the tone lies in the neck of the guitar.I have an Ibanez Prestige but the tone and the neck I feel is the problem since i get a really thin tone and I feel the neck also plays a role in it.
@HighZАй бұрын
It's possible. It stands to reason that if the wood of the body somehow effects the tone, the neck that's connected to it could also. I haven't done any super scietiific experiments though. And my RG655 has an ultra thin neck and sounds amazing, I just don't play it much since the tuning stability isn't the greatest and it'll need a refret soon
